For auction is a beautiful fire engine red 1980 Chevy Scottsdale with a 350 small block motor with less than 2000 miles on it. The previous owner said he had a crate motor that he installed after he purchased the vehicle. We purchased the truck about a year ago off eBay and unfortunately do not have the time nor resources to get this truck to where it deserves to be. The truck is probably 70% complete but is by no means show-worthy at this time. The truck has many upgrades from a Painless wiring system, Edelbrock valve covers & carb, Griffin Radiator, ACCEL HEI super coil and more. There are a few issues with the truck that were undisclosed when we purchased it such as: a power-draw issue that we have not had the time to chase but a battery disconnect switch had been installed previous to our ownership. As long as you disconnect it the battery won't die. Another issue with the truck is the ignition appears to be bad and at this time, it is started by a temporary push-button start and fires right away. As for body and cosmetics, there is a slight bend in the hood from trying to close it and the old springs would not let it close, causing it to bend slightly. The only other issue with the body of the truck is it appears the floor pans were rusted out and the previous owners patched them with sheet metal and just sprayed Berliner to keep from further rust. The previous owner also claimed to have moved some sheet rock in the bed, causing the bed to get scratched. Overall, this is a beautiful truck and in great shape!
