1950 Chevrolet 3100

We won't even pretend for a moment that is like any other pickup you've seen before. This 1950 Chevrolet 3100 has left its workhorse roots behind with all sorts of great features, from a big 400 V8 motor to the custom suspension. It was not built to haul wood... It was built to burn rubber and turn heads. This pickup just gets cooler the longer you look at it. The body was completely sandblasted and expertly fitted during restoration. It gives an even surface to the matte blue that seems as aggressively elegant as a heavyweight boxer in a finely tailored suit. This one even keeps its original iconic five-slat grille, but now it looks much more menacing painted black and slammed to the ground as part of a custom suspension. The wheels are playing into this industrial chic ruse, too, with the Black Rock wheels holding modern aggressive rubber. And as you continue to look over this one, you see all the great custom touches, including the cab-mounted rear brake light, custom box in the bed, and the integrated side exhaust.Inside the blue cloth seats do a nice job of coordinating with the exterior. Just as important, they are borrowed from a much newer pickup for a superior level of comfort to anything that came out of the 1950s. And that's far from the only upgrade. The newer steering wheel, arm rest, and cup holders all add nice comfort, but you can tell this Chevy was built to be a performance driver. You know it from the moment you look at the full auxiliary gauge package that's set in a mirrored panel in the middle of the truck. Plus, the performance shifter and shift light are a clear indication of something special under the hood. The 400 cubic-inch V8 is great for big displacement in a small block size. It looks terrific with the bright air grabber, exterior-matching air filter, and ribbed bow tie valve covers. But more than just a great presentation, it has all the right performance pieces like an aluminum radiator, Weiand intake, and Edelbrock four-barrel exhaust. As you look closer at this build, it becomes apparent there has been a ton of custom work to get this truck looking right. This Chevy is actually built atop a Toyota chassis, which helps the custom suspension get that aggressive low stance and the custom dual exhaust fit between the body and the frame rails. Plus, the three-speed automatic transmission, independent front suspension, power steering, and front disc brakes make this aggressive-looking custom comfortable enough to rack up the leisure miles. This is the pickup you'd build if you had the time, but instead you can buy in for much less than it would cost to put it together by yourself. So don't wait, cool customs like this don't last in our showroom. Call today!!!
