402 Big block 4 wheel discCalifornia car LOW RESERVE! Purchased in 2008 had all original paint and body panels. Straight solid body including floors trunk floor and rockers.The original color was the rare code 65 "hugger orange." The body was totally taken apart for restoration all chrome and weather strips were removed. Pinholes were found when paint was stripped. Both lower rear quarter panels and lower right front fender were welded in with new OER partial panels. The minor body work was done on the rest of the body. The car has been fully primed and block sanded twice. With the hood doors and trunk lid removed all parts were then refinished with PPG-DBC code 65 base coat. The car was completely put back together then color sanded and polished. The black stripes were then painted with PPG-DCC 9700 black urethane. The engine is a 1972 402 and was totally rebuilt by "John Poundstone Engines" to all 1970 402 specs. This includes 10.25 to 1 forged pistons also a 450 H.P. Cam with roller rockers. The engine only has 100 break-in miles.The auto transmission was rebuilt approximately 2000 miles ago. Other engine "goodies" include:Holley 750 CFM carbHOOKER HEADERSEDELBROCK intakeand an electronic ignition. Great handling package includes: close ratio steering box EIBACH front springs EDELBROCK shocks (front & rear) traction barssub-frameconnectors 17 inch new American Racing wheels and tires 1979Trans Amdisc brake posi rear-end. The interior is mostly new including: racing bucket seats reupholstered back seats to match fronts carpets headliner OER dash door panels sill plates rear speaker deck vents radio pedals steering wheel and horn button oil pressure and water temp gauges window crank handles etc. New body parts include: all new weather strips headlight bezels turn signal lights split front bumpers header panel emblem front and rear side marker lights front and rear spoilers front outside door handles and new windshield.
