1967 Chevrolet Camaro

Honest, premium, and quite original, this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro is a special find. After all, it's the first year for the now legendary nameplate, and this one has remained a nicely optioned low mileage example that's now available at an exceptional price.Everyone can agree that the early Camaros, with their smooth looks and minimum of fussy ornamentation were awesome-looking cars. That's why the first generation Camaro is always in demand, and the design is the basis for the latest generation. And this car really lets you understand the enthusiasm that makes it an icon. It's an estate sale coupe coming off of long-term careful ownership. Presented in its factory-correct (and believed mostly original) shade of R-code Bolero Red it looks aggressive and regal all in the same first glance. Helping this premium appearance is the factory-correct black vinyl top and a cool black pinstripe that demonstrates the straightness of the panels, and highlights some of the Camaro's best design cues. Careful ownership also means the bumpers shine like mirrors, all trim is complete, and it wears the correct set of iconic Rally wheels.Inside appears to be highly original, and much of it is a rare sight today. For example, the few Camaros that came with bench seats usually had them changed out for buckets during the decades before these were appreciated for being practical, original, and rare. That would have been a shame because, as you can see, the code 756 bench seat is actually a very fashionable setup. It has the cool strato-back comfort, and when you don't need a person in the middle, there's a nice fold down armrest. So it's a cool, comfortable setup that we don't see often today. The same goes for the column-mounted automatic transmission. It's so honest in its originality that people cannot help but stare. And for you the experience is just as memorable with the factory three-spoke steering wheel, and beyond that the deep dual pods that emphasize the large speedo and other gauges. Despite all this originality, we were able to spot a few subtle and handy upgrades. You get the added info of a set of auxiliary gauges, convenience of a cup holder tray, and the extra entertainment and versatility of an AM/FM/cassette radio with digital tuner (but it's knob-style appearance helps it fit in with the original heat/defrost sliders.)Under the hood is Chevrolet's trusty and powerful 327 cubic-inch V8. It has a tidy presentation that includes the correct Chevy orange paint on the block. It's even dated to the correct year, so it makes us feel good about this coupe's originality factor. Of course, the fact that this car has averaged around 1,400 miles annually also helps, too. There's some nice flash with the bright air cleaner and valve covers, and there an extra hit of power thanks to the Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. Sure, a first-year Camaro with a great V8 is always a nice performance classic to own, but with features like the Powerglide transmission, front disc brakes, and newer/modern tires, this coupe is also a true anytime cruiser. Cars that have never been apart drive differently than anything that has undergone a frame off restoration, and this one is no exception. No rattles, clunks, or shimmies make this a joy to drive!Great appearance. Great features. Great price. This is the classic Camaro you've been looking for. But don't forget, it's obtainable for plenty of others, too, so hurry up and call today!
