1967 Chevy Nova Wagon
1967 Chevrolet Nova Chevy II
Up for auction is a clean West Coast 1967 Chevy II Station Wagon. Equipped with it'sOriginal 283 V8 engine. The engine has been rebuilt to stock specifications. It has the Power Pack Headsalong with aQuadrajet Carburetor. The original Power Glide transmission has been rebuilt as well and shifts quickly.Dual exhaust with the pipes exitingtastefully just below the rear bumper. Withstock mufflers on itthe sound is not loud, justreally reallynice. Other options include... Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes, Power Rear Windowand OEM GM Dealer Air conditioning. The car has been driven just under 4000 miles sinceit's restoration. The rocker panels are original andsolid as I stated this was a California car, I have what is believed to be the original CaliforniaBlack Plate with the dealers license frame from West LA.The body and paint are very nice although not perfect. I'm very particular when it comes to how straight a car is. Some people would consider this caras perfect. I don't. I've seen better and I've seen worse, mostly the latter. With that being said, it did not deter me from buying this car one bit or enjoying itas much as I have. This car has a lot going for it. For one thing it's a wagon, you don't seetoo many at the car shows. If your intoearly Nova's you might want to consider a wagon, avery cool car. This car has been restored but it hasn't been highly modified like the majority ofthese cars thatyou seeout there. Most oftheses wagons came through with a six cylinder engine. This one came through with the 283. The car hasgreat looks, clean lines and Dupont'sChromabaseBrilliant Silver paintnicely buffed out. The chrome bumpers front and back are beautiful as is the rest of the trim like the correct NOS front fender antenna. All newSoft Ray tintedwindowglass, all new window and door seals. New carpet, new head liner and the front and rear seat have been nicely reupholstered. The door panels are original and in nicecondition.Mechanically there has been much work done recently. I wanted to get the engine compartment back to looking as it came from the factory. So Ipulled the engineand used Eastwood's two part catalyzed engine paint, good stuff. Most likely the engine builderusedshaker cans when they painted it which didn't hold up very well.WhileI had the engine onthe stand I replaced all the gaskets andseals. Then went on to correctthe other mechanical issues which led to...New PS pump, new PS cylinder and control valve, new PS hoses. Newcopper &brass four core radiator, new AC Delco fan clutch, all new belts and hoses. New ignition wires, plugs, roto, cap, coiland Pertronics breakerless ignition.New power brake booster and master cylinder, new rear wheel cylinders, new emergency brake cable. Upgraded alternator to internal regulator whileretaining stock appearance.Newceramic seal in A6 compressor, AC system charged with R-12, all new barrier hoses.NOS rear window motor. I putnew front coil springs inand had the rear mono leaf springs re-archedto get back to the stock ride height.
