1970 El Camino Truck Tuned Port TPI Auto Trans Console Bucket Seats
1970 Chevrolet El Camino truck
I have own this for 10 years it's in solid condition with light rust on the under-belly no rusted floor pans the car /truck is original from Texas,I purchase it this way with the motor and TPI top / tuned port fuel injection I do not know the real history of the motor I do not know if it's a roller motor or just the TPI has been placed on it,no engine block number may be a crate engine, auto transmission with over drive from the trans am runs 1200 RPMs at 50 MPH It's a highway truck and get great mileage and a very low RPM on the HWY with a 10 bolt rear end this will roll 70 MPH with eas, the transmission and computer is marked on paper in the glove box 1989 trans am computer information and Number, a lot of surface rust and not much rust on the body panels- showing rear rocker panels and behind the driver's door on both sides, not heavy at all it's an easy repair,no body filler if any I could not find it I ran a magnet around it years ago and it sticks on all places on the body, this is is fair condition with lots of light surface rust on the motor parts and light rust underneath, the rear frame-under the bed has has a hitch drilled and looks yanked off so you see a small amount of twisted metal and damage/See Pics) frame is solid not rusted ! as so the body and it's mainly straight I see 5-7 dings only no dents may be a light crease on the hood around the support latch, The transmission leaks a very small amount also the engine will give up a few drops also,I hear a small ticking on the right side of the motor at low RPM in overdrive-it's always been there, this motor has plenty of power and the transmission has a shift kit installed,I have a 2 years old die hard battery also a new Cardone front calipers and pads, last year I replaced the water pump with an aluminum one, also a Cardone power steering pump,,car makes a common sound with starting (a little rough) I installed a new NOS 1980s starter last year,it's always sound like that when started -not grinding but a little rough,I tried shims and it does not change I even tried a few other front noses on the starter with no luck-every now and then the starter with just clicks and if you turn a bit harder on the ignition it will alway start, the transmission has no bottom torque-cover,the engine compartment shows lots of light surface rust,I hear a pop sound every now and then in the front end when turning,I think it's a A-Frame bushing all steering parts are tight, the car runs and drives good but shows lots of age and wear sold for a restoration, the tires are in good condition with some age cracks lots of tread just,it's needs a new paint job or a rubbing compound to the paint it's shows it's age may be 12-15 years old,you can see the black paint is in poor condition showing a stain-finish,I think this is a great project starter-car /truck,(also the plastic gauge cover is very bad-faded also the gas gauge is off-the truck will run out of gas just under 1/4 tank on the gauge when it's filled up the gas gauge will peg to the top,I'm sure I missed some other items that could be mention it's 46 years old you will find, age, small problems I will say it's dependable and run ! so ask any question I'm wanted to sell it for another project, please ask any question Winner-please follow through with the transaction , A non refundable deposit of 1000.00 with 24 hrs on end of this auction with balance in 7 days, this is a great car !
