This beautiful1957ChevyNomadRestomod has just completed a frame off restoration, two years in the making. No expense spared here in taking Chevrolets iconic 57Nomadand turning it into a modern day cruiser, that could take you down the street to the grocery store or to the family reunion across country in pure comfort and reliability.
With its modern Aluminum Block LS1 350 V8 engine and pared with a 4L60e Automatic Transmission makes this a spectacular roadcarcapable of great fuel economy and plenty of horse power. And of course stopping power was a necessity, so Installation of a Hydroboost Brake System with a Wilwood Master Cylinder and CPP Front and Rear Big Disc Brake Kit was a given. Handling was also a must so installation of a tight ratio 500-series Power Steering Unit and Auburn Gear Limited Slip Differential were installed as well.
New US Mag Ramblers Wheels 18X8 front and 20X9.5 rear with Hankook Tires give it just the right look with great fitment.
Ceramic long-tube headers with a custom Magnaflow exhaust and Custom cold-air intake setup give this classic an incredible exhaust note.
The body and bright work are amazing. Finished in its original colors of Inca Silver and Imperial Ivory make for such a beautiful contrast to all of the new chrome and polished stainless. Every piece of glass is new. The entire rear tailgate assembly with all of its cables have been completely rebuilt with all new parts. Every piece of rubber or weatherstripping is brand new. Every nut and bolt is new. All of the wiring in thecaris brand new.
The interior is finished in a Bordeaux Red German Leather with the original Cloud Material Inserts Iconic to the1957ChevyBel Air line up. The headliner is a matching Sued with all of the factory Chrome Bezel pieces re-chromed to perfection. The dash has been wrapped and stitched in a beautiful matching leather. The front seats and center console are fully customized from a late model Cadillac Eldorado, which are full power and work perfectly. The center console houses the Vintage AC Controls and power window buttons as well as the Pioneer AVH-4200 unit with AppleCarPlay and Android, allowing Navigation and a number of other options.
The instrumentation is also brand new from Classic Instrument Gauges giving all the moderncarreadings to keep you well informed to how thecaris performing at all times. Also installed is a modern tilt column for easy access in and out of the vehicle. The Vintage AC system works amazingly well and blows like a newcar.
Every detail was addressed when building thiscar! It truly drives like new and is quite comfortable even for the longest of journeys.
