1961 Chevrolet Corvette

For auction is my beautiful Jewel Blue 1961 Corvette in excellent condition. This is the first generation Corvette which was newly remodeled for a new look. The front end was revamped with a new silver grill while the rear end now included quad tail lights and the trunk area expanded. The exhaust now excited below the body. There were 10,939 produced. The only year Jewel Blue was offered was 1961. Has new black soft top & matching hard top.The vehicle was in storage in Kentucky from 1982 until 1998 when I purchased & brought to Texas for a complete restoration. The engine was removed & completely rebuilt, fiber glass body stripped and refinished in the original jewel blue color, all chrome replaced, suspension rebuilt, new brake drums & kits, all new interior ( new seat springs with new seat covers, dash, door panels) New AM/FM cassette Corvette radio, clock reconditioned, all instrument guages, lights, turn signals & heater in good operating condition. New gas tank. Additional features: added seat belts, Corvette floor mats, custom 15/7 wheels by American Racing to give the Corvette a really nice look. New BF Goodrich 225/70/15 tires.Have many photo's of the complete documented restoration process from the time I purchased to completion. A detailed line by line invoice of the engine rebuild & body restoration is available. Also have invoices of all parts purchased & additional work completed. The vehicle has less than 5,000 miles driven since restoration. Only driven occasionally on week ends & to enter car shows. Always garaged with cover.Has new spare tire, jack, car cover, & holder on wheels for the hard top.The appeal of this Corvette in undeniable. Have won several auto shows and is fun to drive & will be admired by family & friends. The sound of the 283 V8 engine with the 4 speed transmission is even better.
