1947 Chevrolet Other

1947 Stylemaster coupe. 216 6 cly 3 speed manual trans. I purchased this car last summer with plans on building a street rod. The car is pretty solid for its age. It has some mud in it, I bought it this way so I am not sure on how much. The previous owner had the car blasted, then he primed and painted it with little body work done. The paint is ugly, it has many dents and imperfections. It needs rockers, someone patched them . Needs a little floor work they have been patched also. The doors, trun, hood and fenders are pretty solid. The interior is new, except for the carpet. It has custom big flake paint on the dash and window frames. It has a new gauge set with speedometer. the gas gauge sender is not installed .It runs good, I believe this is the original motor. It sounds like a sewing machine. The trans leaks a little and first and second gears whine. It shifts good and runs down the road great. The brakes stop good and the steering has some play in the box. It will run down the road 65 mph with no issues.I have only driven this car a couple hundred miles, with no issues. The left rear frame behind the wheel needs some repair but it is fixable. It has been converted to 12 volt with a small fuse panel. I had planed on completely redoing this car, but a new house purchase and other car projects prevent it now.It is a car that has a lot of potential, I have this set at a very low reserve.Buyer is responsible for shipping, and a 500 dollar deposit is due at auction end.
