Side mounted exhaust (Factory Style) Close Ratio Transmission- 4 Speed Feature car in Corvette Fever Magazine Tank Sticker Protect-o-plate Paint- The paint is very shiny and smooth. and matches all the way around. The paint was professionally done. as we don’t see some of the typical imperfections that you will find under bright or florescent light. We do not see any scratches or nicks. and it is beautifully painted without a question. Being extremely critical. on top of the left and right front fender it has a small blemish/ lines that you can only see at just the perfect angle. Body- The body is very nice and straight. The fits and gaps seem uniform all the way around. (look close at pictures) Only under close scrutiny you will notice the grill that runs between the hood and the wiper panel could probably be adjusted a little on the left side. but is very minor. Notice the bonding strips in the pictures. Bright Work- The bright work. which is chrome and stainless around the window areas is all intact. and properly secured. The stainless on the pillars doesn’t show any damage with the exception of a tiny nick. There is chrome at the windshields top that does show some light pitting. mostly on the left and right corner. (See Pictures) The chrome bumpers. front and rear . ncluding the door handles are like that of a car a few years old. It is very common for the openings were the soft top goes down to get slightly marked from the pin. The Sting Ray and Corvette lettering. and flags in the front and rear are all very fresh and new looking. Glass- The windshield make is Shat-R-Proof. The side windows are marked with Astro ventilation. and are LOF safety glass. The glass over all is in very nice condition. The windshield may have a few little pin head size nicks from normal use. The glass is very clear. we do not see any discoloring. delimitation. bull eyes. cracks. or wiper marks. On the side glass you’ll find a couple vertical lines on the driver and passenger side. which is common with crank windows of that era. On the top edge of the drivers glass is a half inch chipped edge. Interior- All of the vinyl and materials are very soft and subtle. and have had very little exposure. The colors of both the seats. panels. and carpet do not show fading and have very good color . The sun-visor material is all intact. as well as the stitching. and are solid without any internal breaking down of the structure inside. Looking close at the pictures of the dash. gauges. speedometer. tachometer or down in the heater controls you will notice the black is fresh. smooth. and does not show wear. Aside from some wear on the seat belts. the interior is close to new. Matching console pad is not a factory item but for comfort. Engine and Transmission- A great amount of attention to detail had taken place to keep it as close to original and correct as possible. The correct style clamps and GM numbering hoses . the smog pump is installed as it should be and the lines running to the wire shielding is all in place. Tires and Wheels- BF Goodrich Radial T. A. Left Front – P215 -70-15 11/32 - Remaining tread Right Front-P215-70-15 11/32- Remaining tread Right Rear- P215-70-15 11/32 -Remaining tread Right Rear- P215-70-15 11/32 -Remaining tread There is no cracking or damage to the tires and show little age. The trim rings and the center caps all look almost new. The black paint in the center cap is in great condition. It does show some slight gray fading of the gray paint on the rally wheel. which could be easily improved. Top- The top is very white. and like new without any damage to the stitching. The rear window looks clear without any damage. The top had not been put up in over a year. and was only up for twenty minutes when the pictures where taken. You will notice the wrinkles in the top. that with a little time and sun will certainly smooth out. Chassis- Chassis looks good and solid without any rust perforation. I did not see any damage on the bottom side. the floors look nice and undamaged. Chassis does have shielding on the bottom to protect from heat. Chassis has been left very natural. It has a replacement spring and suspension component at some time. as well as replacement shields and the brake calipers. The owner recently had the valve cover gaskets ( Left & Right) timing chain cover and the pan gasket replaced to correct a little seepage. Car is mostly dry around the transmission and the rear end seals. Test Drive- Chad rode with owner around 5 to 7 miles to put the car on a rack. Chad than drove on the way back. Car does start and run just as it was designed. with no flaws in its operation. Drives nice and straight. It does not pull. and steers as it was designed. Shifter works well. and shifts smooth between all four gears and reverse. Clutch operation appears to work as it should. The cars accelerates nice and is a higher performance version of the 350. so you will have a little lumpiness from the performance cam. high compression exc. You experience that power when you put your foot on the gas. Upon stopping car does not pull to the left or the right. and no pulsation while applying the brakes. Note at 50 MPH in 4th gear engine is turning about 2200 RPM. High and low Headlight beams work Headlights (vacuum operated) open fine Left and right. front and back. turn signals work Brake lights work Back up lights work Wiper cover operates as do the wipers Upper vents that are round do work on both sides with the open and close knob Lower vents in the kick panels operate from the two levers on the console Speedometer. odometer. trip-odometer. and tachometer work Horn works Window cranks left and right work Locking mechanism does operate properly Fuel gauge works Water temperature works Battery charge works Oil pressure works Clock works Radio turns on and buzzes but no sound Outside locks on right work/ left side is sticking a bit Fan is working Heater works Defrost works Top works properly along with the front and back locking mechanism Fiber Optics all working (except 1) Older standard wheel and tire in the spare tire compartment. 1997 Engine Rebuilt 2009 Transmission rebuilt 2011 Seats.
