1970 Camaro RS Z28
1970 Chevrolet Camaro
Up for your consideration is a 1970 Camaro RS Z28 with some rare options. This car comes with the original factory born with engine, transmission and rear end. Car was equipped with some rare options such as the M22 transmission, RS front end, stripe delete and custom deluxe interior. Mechanically we have gone through this car and repaired many items, the list is too extensive to post everything but know this car runs and drive extremely well and is safe. I bought this Camaro a few years ago, the only reason I am putting this up for sale is we just acquired another ‘70Z and I would like the next care taker to do something with this car, either a great base for a restoration or drive as is. This car gets tons of attention at cruise nights and car shows as is. I will try to be as detailed as possible with the below information, should I miss something you can always send me an email with your question.Engine: Original born with block, heads, intake, carb, distributor, radiator and fan shroud. The alternator is remanufactured (original was long gone) and the exhaust manifolds are reproductions. Car was missing the smog system when purchased, depending what you do with the car but you might have to source these smog parts.
Transmission: Original born with M22, shifts and sounds great, transmission has no issues.
Rear End: Original born with 3.73 12 bolt, no noises and is in great working order.
Interior: Rear seat are original, I changed the front seat foams and covers as the old ones were dry, cracked and uncomfortable. The new seats covers were purchased from Legendary Auto Interiors, these folks are the best and the seats look 100% factory correct. I also changed the dash pad as the original was badly warped, this issue is very common on these cars. I do have the original dash if the new owner would like this part it will be included in the sale.
Body: Again, depending on what you are doing with the car. The floors, frame rails, sub-frame, radiator support and rockers are very solid and have no issues, the trunk pan does have some small pin holes that will require attention if you are restoring. The front fenders have rust in the back/front of the doors, both rear quarter panels at the bottom have rust and surface rust on the doors. Overall I would say the car is very solid, most of the paint on the car is also original.
Paper-work: Yes I do have ALL the original dealer paperwork with this Camaro….have the original bill of sale, window sticker, Pro-tecto Plate and some other goodies. If you know anything about these cars you know how hard it would be to find these items and how very few cars come with original drivelines and documents. I also tracked down and have spoken to the original owner of this car several times. He even sent me a vintage picture circa 1976 and also had some great stories to share with me regarding cruising the stripe delete, I have a letter from the owner explaining the story. Please do not ask for close up copies of these documents as I will not email anyone those pics, these documents are real and I will 100% guarantee the authenticity. I have been around Camaro’s for some time and have seen many people use original documentation for deceptive reasons, this is why I will not share close up pics.
This car is clear and registered in my name in the Province of British Columbia, originally had a clear title when I imported to Canada several years ago but the title was surrendered to register the car here. For any US buyers, I live 15 minutes from the Blaine boarder crossing in WA state. You will have some paper work to complete prior to import but I am told the process is very easy. I can also supply the name of a shipper that will offer door to door service and complete the paper-work on your behalf. For Canadian buyers, you already know we do not use titles and the registration is clear and in my name.
As this is an auction I have set a reserve which I feel is very reasonable for this car, always open to offers and might end the auction early as the car is for sale locally. The terms of sale will be, require a NON refundable $1000 PayPal deposit, and within 5 business days the remaining balance to be paid via BANK WIRE transfer only, NO EXCEPTIONS. I will also offer to hold the car for a few weeks at no charge to allow the buyer to arrange transport. All funds to be paid in US dollars.
I have described this car as honestly as I possibly can, I want you to have assurance I have described both the good and bad with this vehicle. If I have missed something or you need more pictures please do not hesitate to contact me with your questions.
There is NO WARRANTY expressed or implied.
Thanks again and happy bidding.
