Well taken care of 86 square body with original paint and normal wear and tear. I am the third owner, and I know the other two owners well. The truck has always been stored under carport or in garage out of the weather, and has never been wrecked. I would give the paint a 5-6 out of 10 with normal fading and scratches. This is not a show winning paint job truck, and I never intended for it to be. I like the old faded look and decided to keep it this way. The truck does have some rust which is shown in pictures.
Motor / Drive train- 350 (first genertion)- Professionally rebuilt quadrajet (new throttle shaft bushings, new choke thermostat, drilled idle discharge ports to .086", new AK metering rods with new "G" hanger, and new filter)- Edelbrock Aluminum Intake- New xe268h cam from Comp Cams with all new hardware- Upon buying the truck, the motor was taken apart and gone through to rule out any issues in the future. Everything looked great and to this day I have had no issues. Starts right up and hits a hard lick every time.- New Shorty Headman Headers- New true dual flowmaster 40 series exhaust that sounds great and turns down just before the rear axle- Turbo 350 with shift kit- 342 gears with posi trac rearend
Suspension (All NEW belltech equipment) / Wheels and Tires- Spindles and springs up front- Flip kit and c-notch in back- New belltech shocks all around with shock extenders in the back- 15 x 7 up front / 15 x 8 out back. All 4 were sandblasted and repainted professionally to remove surface rust and prevent future rust- New tires with less than 500 miles on them- NO rubbing anywhere at all. Truck was lowered the right way and rides out smooth
Everything works as it should including PW, PB, PS, Cruise Control, AC blows ice cold, New heater core so heat is very hot, all gauges work great.
Some New Parts- 2 new sending units installed less than two months ago- New selector valve less than two months- New soft and hard lines from sending unit to selector valve- New tank selector switch- New Premium Chrome sport bumper with all new brackets that were shaved down to prevent dimples when tightening bumper- New Chrome license plate bracket and license plate light assembly wired the right way- New cargo light (rubber, chrome housing, clear lens, wiring and bulb brackets)- New window tint less than 3 months old down professionally- New window and vent window rubber- New window felt- New Chrome vent window locking knobs- New window motor on pass. side- New paint on vent window frames (sandblasted, etched and painted black)- New Interior light- New motor mounts
I have done a lot to this truck to make it look and ride great as well as trust it will go anywhere I want to go without having any issues.
