Due to a large amount of non-paying bidders I have set a low buy it now with an immediate deposit required to click the buy it now. I'm a serious private seller and I'm sure I'm leaving money on the table but, I prefer a hassle free sale with the Suburban going to a great home. Feel free to call me at (253)229-9377.
This Suburban is a true survivor. It is one if the best examples I have ever seen in person of a square body 3/4 ton 4x4 Suburban. I'm the third owner and this Suburban has survived so well due to it being loved and pampered since new. Garage kept in the beautiful state of Washington since new. The original owner was an older gentleman who pampered his Suburban until he passed away about 10 years ago. The second owner purchased it from his estate. The second owner was a car guy and Aviation Mechanic. I'm also a car guy and Aviation Mechanic. Needless to say, this suburban is meticulously maintained. I have owned a few square body trucks and this one is by far the nicest driving one I have owned. In fact, it is hard to believe this is a 4x4 3/4 ton as it rides like a Cadillac and goes straight with no play or wander in the steering. The brakes work excellent and the engine idles smooth. The turbo 400 transmission shifts great. This Suburban has survived so well as it was never used as a family wagon, never smoked in, and no pets. This Suburban has never been lifted or modified. It is original down to the hard to find 3/4 ton hubcaps. The only thing not original is the tape deck has been upgraded to a CD player.
Cosmetically the Suburban looks way above average for its age. There are no major defects and this Suburban gets a ton of compliments. It is mostly original paint with some parts of the light blue and dark blue having been redone under warranty. These late 80's Domestic Trucks had notoriously bad paint and I've had two which have had the same paint corrections while under warranty. There is no rust and it is very clean and dry underneath. This Suburban has never been off road, lifted, or abused. The interior is a 9/10. All the seats including the drivers seat are in very nice condition. The seats have little to no wear. The carpet is nice and has been protected since new by the original G floor mats which are still present. All the power windows and locks work well. They are not slow or sluggish! A/C works and blows cool but, not very cold. Could probably use a charge by end of the Summer. The headliner material is in great shape but, needs to be reglued to the cardboard backing. The pictures taken inside with the fluorescent lighting of some of the interior pictures make the seats look faded. They are not. There are pictures of the interior taken outside and you can see the true blue color.
Mechanically the Suburban is in excellent condition. It is a real pleasure to drive. I love rolling the tailgate window down and cruising this thing around town. It has excellent oil pressure and runs cool. Sounds great.
I recently accepted a job offer that will have me traveling for extended periods of time. For this reason only, I'm downsizing from 5 cars to 2. I will be listing the Suburban as well as my 71 GMC C10 Short Bed. I wish I could keep them all but, cannot justify having them sit with little to no use. Check my Feedback. I have sold a couple of my personal collector vehicles in the last 13 years on ebay and have always had pleasant transactions. My last feedback was from 1 of my other cars I sold. I go out of my way to answer any and all questions and take as many pictures as possible. I will assist in shipping and help get her safely loaded.
