1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

This car has a ton of work done to it and I have a folder of receipts to show it. I have all of the original parts to go with the car so someone can take it back to stock someday if they choose to do so, but with it being as fun as it is that would be a tough thing to do! The new motor and trans have less than 300 miles on them. The motor is a 4 bolt, one piece rear main seal full roller 383 with all the goodies. The heads are aluminum AFR Street Eliminator 2.05 intake/1.60 exhaust valves. I also ordered the heads with 7/16 stud upgrade and spring upgrade to match the cam. COMP Cams cam is a roller XR288HR paired with COMP 1.6 roller rocker arms. The rotating assembly is Eagle and all bolts on the engine are 12 pt ARP bolts. The intake is an Edelbrock Air Gap RPM and the carb is a Holly 770 Ultra Street Avenger. The headers are ceramic coated full length Hedman Hustlers with 1 3/4 tubes. The exhaust is run through a G-Force crossmember to Spintech mufflers which sound awesome, yet not obnoxious! The transmission is a 200r4 stage 2 built by Extreme Automatic to handle the 500 hp/tq of this 383. I spared nothing on this monster right down to the Milodon stroker 6qt oil pan. The converter is custom built to the cam and is a 2600 RPM stall that flashes to 3000 RPM. This car is completely calm and easy to drive on the street but will get after it if the need arises! Both the trans and converter are non-lockup. The shifting is done with a B&M Street Bandit shifter. The rear end is the factory posi unit with 3.73 gears. You can check the trans out at extremeautomatics.com. The wheels are 17 inch Centerline Retros with 275 rubber out back. The tires are excellent and are BF Goodrich G-Force Super Sports with less than 500 miles on them. I also have the stock wheels that will go with the car. As far as stance and suspension goes I replaced the stock old rag joint steering shaft with an upgraded one to help with the feel of the road and comfort. Also with less than 500 miles on them are Bilstein shocks on all four corners as well as Hotchkiss 1 inch drop springs. I redid the T-Tops with all new gaskets and powdercoated stainless steel plates from G-Body Parts.com. I could have done it cheaper but the stainless steel will last forever and never rust. The exterior is in good driver quality shape for being almost 30 years old. There is a small amount of rust starting on the lower rear quarters but its not bad at all, also the decal is chipping a bit on the back. The steel cowl induction hood is on the car but along with the engine and trans, I have the stock hood as well. The interior is nice with one small tear on the arm rest. The dash is nice with no cracks and the stock radio is in place. I have the A/C hooked up but needs charged and I also have everything for the cruise control but wanted to keep the engine compartment clean. Typically when an engine swap is done you see snipped wires and corners cut. This one was done right; I pulled the inner fenderwell and unhooked the emission harness without cutting a single wire. The stock harness will go with the car as well. As you can see in the pictures, the car still has the original T-Top bags in the truck, as well as the spare tire.
