1959 Chevrolet El Camino

1959 chevy el camino. No engine, no transmission, no seat and no title. Late 60's, early 70's custom. Door handles have been shaved, antenna shaved, upper bed mouldings filled and shaved. Tailgate has louvered 3rd brake light. Hand pinstriped flames on hood and fenders and gate has some pinstriping as well. Signed by Von Thompson? All body work and paint is showing its age. All wiring seems to be intact with original fuse panel. Dash is all there with all gauges. Headliner in place. All suspension seems to be original. Looks to be factory air bags over coils in rear. Was told it was an original 348 car. Don't know if that's true or not. Column is a factory 2 speed column shift I assume is original. Windshield is good, back glass is good, passenger side glass is good, driver side glass is cracked, R-vent window is cracked, L-vent glass is good. All stainless trim seems to be in good condition. Front and rear bumpers have been rechromed sometime recently. Front bumpers are laying inside car. Floors have been patched and repatched. Has had 1/4 panels put on sometime in the past. Don't see any rust through on them. Doors and fenders don't have any rust through on them either and seem to be solid. Rear end code is AB(3.36 ratio)(non posi)(powerglide)(Detroit). Door jamb tag reads(H 59A162551). Body tag reads(style 59-1280)(body EP 4896)(trim 803)(paint 936A)(acc DL)(v8 car). It would not take much to have this on the road again if you were wanting to preserve the look of its era. Go through the brakes, fuel system, add yourengine, transmission, seatand tires and you could be driving this summer, if that's your style. Or this is a good candidate for a restore or retro mod.
