Please read and view all of the 78 pictures listed in the photo gallery which is below the detailed description area. Would you buy a car on eBay with four pictures and one paragraph of description? NO. That is why at Classic Cars Online, our listings will go over and show every area of the vehicle that is up for auction. Description: Written by the Owner. Body & Paint: The vehicle was repainted about a year ago in its original Black (Code 19) color. The lower "Super Sport" silver accent color wasn't put back on at that time. (Code 15M) The body is very solid and straight, free of any dents, scratches or door dings. The front lower Super Sport spoiler is in nice condition. The car also has the dual sport mirrors which also came with the Super Sport package. Looking at the photo of the trim tag, you will see that this vehicle came with the SS package. (15M code: SS Lower paint accent color Silver with Red/Black stripes and letters.) These items were not re-installed after the vehicle was painted. The vehicle will come with a new set of door weatherstripping ready to be installed. Chrome and Trim: The front and rear bumpers have both been rechromed and are straight and true. They look great with a nice shine. The front grill and headlight bezels are also in nice shape. The stainless steel wheel openings moldings are nice but they do have a few dings in them. Interior: From what I can tell, this is still all the original interior. This black cloth is holding up very well. The seats are in great shape without any rips, holes or marks. It's real not even faded or show much wear. The door panels are nice along with the carpet and headliner. The instrument panel and dash are very clean with only one small crack in the dash over the grove box area. The dash has the "El Camino SS" emblem still attached. The vehicle has the optional U14 Gage Package with tachometer. The factory Air Conditioning is in working order along with the rest of the electrical items. (Lights, radio, horn, heater fan, cruise, delayed wipers, etc...) The steering wheel has the optional Comfortilt column. Engine Compartment: Under the hood is the optional 350 cu. in. 4 barrel carburetor V8 engine. (The "L" as the fifth digit in the VIN confirms this fact.) It runs great with no problems. It was recently gone over and received new spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel pump, the carburetor was rebuilt, hoses, belts and a new battery. The engine compartment is very clean and detailed to factory appearance. You can even still see some on the original hand written marks (codes) on the fire wall. Along with this optional 350 engine, the car has power brakes, power steering and air conditioning. Bolted to this power plant is an automatic transmission that shifts out nice with no issues or problems. The vehicle comes along a new chrome dress up kit for the engine if the new owner wants to install it. (Chrome valve covers, oil breather cap, timing cover, and oil dipstick tube.) Truck Bed Compartment: The bed compartment is in excellent condition. A new fiberglass cover that locks was painted black to match the body color. The underside of the cover has a nice gray carpet material. The floor of the bed is solid and rust free. A new rubber bed mat is installed. Glass: All of the glass pieces still look to be original with the correct "LOF" logos on them including the windshield. They are all in very nice shape without any cracks, chips, or scratches. The side windows roll up/down without any problems. Wheels & Tires: The vehicle has four new 15 inch Cragar SS chrome wheels which are in excellent condition. Mounted on these wheels are new Michelin Defender 215/70R15 tires which are also in great condition. Frame & Undercarriage: Looking at bottom, you can see that the vehicle is very solid. Yes it has the typical surface rust on the parts, but the frame and floor pans are very solid. With a little cleaning and detailing, this undercarriage would look great. A new dual exhaust system was installed with chrome tip exiting under the rear bumper. The Vehicle has a great rumble sound to it. (Just right.) Nine times out of ten, people selling a car would not talk about or take any photos of the underside. The undercarriage tells you a lot about the car, that is why there are a few pictures of the bottom in the photo gallery. Please view them all and see why this vehicle is better then most.
