1964 CORVAIR CONVERTIBLE

1964 Chevrolet Corvair

Nice driver. I got the car from a friend about 6 years ago when he passed away. It was sitting in a barn,really, for 24 years. Last Pa inspection expired in 1984, I did the last inspection in 83 and put the sticker on, and it's still there. He and the owner had stripped the chrome off to have it painted, whoever did it did a terrible job, they were in the process of getting it ready to be done again by somebody else when the owner died. When they started this project, they went to Clarks Corvair parts and bought all new chrome, trim, bumpers, etc. Found everything still in boxes with the car. Easy job to get it running, everything turned over just fine. Floors in perfect condition. Had it painted, installed all the chrome etc, and new top. Original seat upholstery except carpet and door panels. Some tears in front seat cushions, new ones available from Clarks. Have new wheel opening and rocker chrome, but I liked the looks better with out them, so didn't install. One small chrome piece by top missing, everything else there. Needs padded dash cover, again Clarks has them, they don't recommend buying until ready to install. Have lots of spare parts that go with the car. I put an electric fuel pump on it, as it had a vapor lock problem in hot weather. Runs and drives great now. Has newer radial tires, brakes were done less that 500 miles ago, inspected in Deleware till 2017.Hate to see it go, but lost storage, don't want it sitting out in the weather.
