Description:

1973 Chevrolet Corvette

1973 coupe, LS4 454, 4-speed, A/C, PS, PB, PW.
This is a three owner car with 50k miles. The color is the 73 only Blue-Green with deluxe black leather interior. I have the build sheet but it is in rough shape. The car was sold new in Tucson AZ, it then went to San Diego CA, and then to me in Austin TX.
It is a very original car but by no means perfect, after all it is 43 years old. It is an original LS4, 454 cu in engine, with 4-speed, A/C, power steering, power brakes, power windows, tilt-tele steering column.
Car originally had AM/FM stereo but currently has a Jensen stereo installed. I have an original stereo from a 73, that is weak on one channel, that will go with car. It also has an after market leather steering wheel installed and I have an original wheel that will go with it.
Very nice original car that drives very well. Just spent over $3,000 on it at local Corvette speciality shop for new brakes, tires, tune-up, and generally making it road ready after setting for a few years.
Check the NADA Classic Car price guides and you will find the following for a 73 coupe with LS4 A/C 4-speed:High Retail $48,075; Average Retail $29,300; Low Retail $19,637.
Now for the bad. Heater core leaks so is currently bypassed, have replacement core. But with a big block in a C3, who needs a heater. The second owner changed the color to silver. It was later returned to the correct green. Front bumper is fiberglass rather than urethane but this could be a positive as there are no waves or bends and the color matches. The car has a paint blemish on rear deck which was there when I got the car (shown in the pictures). I do not know what caused the problem but it was suggested that the humidity was too high when the deck was painted. The rest of the paint is very good. The only rust in the car is in the exhaust. It has a composite mono leaf rear spring with adjustable strut rods which is good for the ride quality but bad for originality.
Miscellaneous items: New gas tank was installed earlier this year. I have several boxes of miscellaneous 73 parts collected over the years that goes with the car. The emission parts are not on the car but I do have them. Someone had used a bolt cutter to get the air tubes off of one side but I have a new set if air tubes for the car. The A/C was working when car was parked. Currently the compressor does not kick in so must assume that it will at least need charging.
Car is currently in storage in Georgetown TX.
