1972 Chevrolet C-10 Custom Deluxe

Things of quality have no fear of time, and this 1972 Chevrolet C10 Custom Deluxe is a fine example. Powerful, handsome, and ready to work or play; it's a head-turner that still knows how to earn a living.Two-tone has always been a distinctive style on vintage pickups. On this bow tie, it emphasizes the C10's clean, straight lines and gives this former workhorses a feeling of sophistication. It also helps that the blue and white paintwork benefits from a modern clearcoat practices, so it greatly outshines any factory color. Because this is a Custom Deluxe it comes with some nice extra body chrome, including the upper and lower body side accents that separate the two colors. But just because this is a shining star, don't be afraid to load it up with weekend projects. The rubber bed mat will help you bring home the hardware store without showing the aftermath.Inside the two-tone switches to blue and black. This looks especially nice on the textured door panels. The black bench looks like it has never seen a crease, which is a testament to the durability of the vinyl and the investment in this pickup. The driver gets the steering wheel from a later model Chevy truck, and beyond that the dash is a nice and clear set of factory gauges. To the side is the comfort of heat/defrost and a newer AM/FM/cassette stereo with knob-style controls still keep the atmosphere feeling '70s vintage perfect. The engine is a 350 cubic-inch V8, as advertised on the front fenders. It looks very authentic with a factory air cleaner up top, bright Chevy Orange paint on the engine, and very tidy wires and hoses. In fact, it has all the right markings to be the original powerplant. Keen eyes will notice the newer Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, so now this factory motor has a bit more power and a deeper rumble out of the dual exhaust. This is mated to a sturdy TH350 three-speed automatic that feeds the 12-bolt rear end running a versatile 3.07 gears. So you know this is a good everyday pickup. But the 1972 C10s are really sought-after because this was the final year for the trailing arm rear suspension, which helps makes these Chevys ride much smoother than most other vintage pickups. Plus, it has the convenience of power steering, front disc brakes, and modern BF Goodrich T/A rubber at all four corners with iconic Rally wheels. So while this truck might be a Saturday project hauler, it's also a clean Sunday car show cruiser.A very nice truck at a great price, you can easily justify this purchase simply because it'll be both a tool and a jewel in your garage.
