Having something no one else has sets us apart from the ordinary world. THIS 1983 CHEVY SHOW RODFirst time offered, a1983 Chevrolet short box that is ready to show and cruise. A fun ride drawing a host of positive comments and lots of thumbs up on the open road and city streets. It is a solid, well designed, well built, one-of-a-kind truck. A complete refinish was done starting with a straight, solid, all metal body. Awesome hand painted, very detailed flames were added starting at the hood and continuing down the sides. Along with its icon color green and perfect stance, it is a complete show stopper. I will show you the entire truck with close up photos, opinions and all information available to me.EXTERIOR The truck has a slammed-down look and it is very low, yet it rides and handles very well. It behaves beautifully at all speeds. You can take your hands off the wheel, there is no pull to the right or the left, no shake or shimmy. It was lowered with a special look and comfort in mind. It stands just 53” tall and has a ground clearance of 10 inches. The perfect stance. TheC-notchedback Bell Tech is 7 inches. The drop spindle front is 5 inches. The tires and wheels are in good condition. There is no rust. The undercarriage is solid. The bed is solid with a brand new bed liner. The glass is in very good to excellent condition. The windows open and close properly. The side view mirrors were replaced and in very good condition. I did not find any dents. The finish is deep and has a brilliant, deep reflective shine. The rocker panels are solid and the door seams are original. All the chrome and bright work are in very good condition. Visit the photo gallery and you will find many close up pictures.ENGINEThe previous owner installed new wires, starter, alternator, Edelbrock carb, Edelbrock Performer EDS intake, belts, and plugs. Enclosed you will find receipts showing work that I had done. The engine is strong and very, very quick. It drives through the gears quickly andsmoothly. There are no weird hesitations, vibrations or noises. The idle lets you know a cam was installed. The lively exhaust lets you know this is a powerful machine, yet not too loud. Headers and duels complete the package. New exhaust tips were just added. There is a 411posicoupled with a 350 turbo transmission. A wonderful combination. The intention is for this truck to be a wonderfully quick and easy to enjoy summer cruiser; nice enough to show and go.INTERIORThe seat has been redone. It is comfortable and supportive and is as new. The carpets are in very good condition. The colors match the exterior. A working tach has been added. The dash and gauges are clear and clean. The entire cabin is very presentable. This is a one-of-a-kind truck ready for a full season of fun and cruising. It is well priced and offers features found on costlier classics.
