Description:

1965 Chevrolet Corvair

We bought this last year off the Second Owner who had it since 1994. We have enjoyed this car but like all project cars we buy we can't get too attached. I am OCD and need a project all the time. This Corvair, out of the last 3 we've owned has been the nicest to us. No problems. Just drive and show it!
Car paint color is a hybrid - Evening Orchid / with pearl. A nice Cruise night paint job with a few small spots you'll notice once you get right up on it. Complete Color change in 2008. All jambs were done right. All door springs work. Get tons of "Thumbs Ups" every time we drive it. Lifetime California car has spent it's life in the garage or Carport, always covered.
Engine is an Air Cooled 140 hp with Four Carbs - Factory 4 speed that runs AWESOME! Brakes were all done and it has the Master Cylinder Upgrade for quick stops ( for a Corvair ). New tires were put on last year before the Palm Spring "Fan Belt Toss" where we took Second Place for late model Corvairs. Electric Fuel pump and priming switch for fast easy starts after sitting a while. Engine and trans are dialed in and ready for driving. HiPo Clutch installed in 2012.
Upholstery has all been redone. New Seats front and rear, padded Dash, POWER Top! Telescopic Steering option!!!! Dash guages mostly work. Speedo, Tach, Temp, fuel and all lighting work. Clock and miles counter does not so actual mileage is unknown. Windows are factory tinted but have not been up since we bought it because we only drive it on nice days. Radio is there but is not working. Antenna was replaced.
Why not buy a classic like this that almost nobody has? Why buy a Mustang or Camaro when you can own an "American VW" This car will only increase in value and is very cheap to insure. We have it insured for 20K thru AAA Classic Car insurance.
We have videos up on my YT Channel under Manny Marin and I'm the one wearing the motorcycle helmet. Video was Taken Easter Sunday 2016. See it, hear it, watch it run.
Good luck in bidding on this American Classic that gets noticed every time you drive it. Car is in my Garage waiting for it's New Owner.
