1968 Chevrolet Camaro
This Camaro has only had one female owner it's entire life. It was always garage kept and is in fantastic original rust free condition. It has 70k original miles. It has been sitting in the garage unused since 1989. It was pulled out 3 weeks ago, tuned up and washed, and is now being offered for sale. This Camaro runs very smooth, shifts perfectly and drives amazing. Everything works on the car except for the AM radio. The wipers work, all the windows work well, even the door buzzer works. All the lights work even the interior dome light works. All the light bulbs are from the 1980's or sooner and they glow with a nice rich light that you just don't see anymore on cars (no LED here). When you open and close the doors and hood is when you realize the originality of this Camaro. It has a feeling you would only get from being factory assembled. Check out the fit of the body panels in the pictures. This car is complete. It has every knob, button, handle, clip from when it was new. Granted it's 49 years old and the chrome has some pitting, but it's original and it exist in it's original assembled form. 3 weeks ago the Camaro was sitting on 4 flat and cracked Polyester bias-ply tires so new radials were installed. The spare is still a bias-ply tires. A new fuel tank had to be installed due to the age of the old unused original tank. Also a new fuel pump, water pump, all new brakes including wheel cylinders and master cylinder and tune up parts were installed to bring dependable life and drivability back into this awesome piece of history. The original owner cared for and serviced this Camaro regularly. Look in the pictures for the 2 paper door jam service stickers that still remain on the car, noting the mileage and dates. These paper stickers were fragile and would normally only last thru about two rain storms, a testimate to fair-weather driving and being garage kept. The Camaro was repainted in 1981. There is no body work or panel repair, it was just an external enamel refinish of the original color. The floors and trunk are all original and have no rust. The vinyl top is in great condition with no bubbling or rust of any kind. The interior is all original and in nice survived condition, a bit dirty by will clean up.So many of these six cylinder cars have been replaced with V8's over the years and turned into something that they never were...clone's or tribute cars with mismatch everything, inferior replacement parts allover. And what would you really have? But how often would you have an chance to purchase a well documented one owner '68 Camaro with 70k original miles that is in this kind of condition? This is a true survivor and a rare opportunity.
