Description:

1965 Chevrolet Impala

Up for Auction 1965 Chevy Impala Sport Coupe. No Reserve. $1000 Payment at end of auction, buyer must set up transport/shipping.
Body appears to be 98% rust free. I found just a couple surface spots smaller than eraser head of pencil. Floor/trunk pans look solid. Body has minor left damage around driver rear tire well where trim goes (missing). Left top fender has small dent (see pic). Rest of body looks straight except for a couple minor dings. Original paint color is White (cc) Some trim looks new.
Interior is 95% complete. No radio and a couple small items like a quarter window handle and ash tray. Headliner is new and most of interior is in decent shape except front seat and carpet. Back seat is torn/taped near top. Doors shut and open firmly.
Undercarriage looks very good with relatively new dual exhaust pipes and mufflers. Rocker panels look good with new trim. All glass is very good.
Engine is not original 327. I looked up serial #s and it is a 1985 305 which is supposed to be near new. The engine block paint and excellent running condition leads me to believe this is true. This engine sounds strong and purrs..
Vehicle was pawned for several thousand and not paid. Our program Jobs4Homeless acquired vehicle for purpose of auction for expansion. (We have a one of a kind program that employs the homeless via recycling centers) Buyer will receive a notarized bill of sale. No Title. We could find no registration history.
We drove it from place of purchase (30 mi) and it drove very straight down the road. When we got back I was wiping rims and valve stem broke off so tomorrow morning we have back tires going on. Front tires are real good.
Rare codes on cowl plate it's getting late so will update again tomorrow.
Good luck in your bidding and remember this goes to an incredible charity so it won't hurt our feelings if we get a few to fight for this gem!

Cowl plate info. Built in St Louis 3rd week of January 1965 Original Paint (cc) Ermine White / Interior 811 Black / Trim (E2KR) E=Tint / 2K=Factory Air / R= Rear Speakers
The paint job is probably 10 years old. A few light scratches, not fading too bad.The lights and turn signal lights (outside & dash) work but everything else seems disconnected. I doubt mileage reading is accurate.
Engine serial #14088551 other engine block markings GM5. OLG B036
