1963 corvette split window coupe The rarest Corvette ever built
1963 Chevrolet Corvette
This Rare Car was in a garage fire a year ago after being stored for 40 years 20 in California and 20 in San Antonio Texas. It was not insured at the time so the title is clear (NOT A SALVAGE TITLE) Last registered in CA in 1992. This car has an engine as rare as the car, t has a 409 not a 348 (Dipstick on the driver side) that was installed in 1967.It still has oil in it.I'm told the engine could be sold to someone with an early 60's Impala for $4500 to $5000. The car has afactory Muncie 4 speedwith a 370 rear end.
The floor pans are perfect. It has removable tow bars in the front that were used to get it to Texas. On that trip the right rear swing arm broke and it was trailered the rest of the way. Believe it or not the doors open and close just fine and I even have the keys. The number tag is also in tact on the dashboard. As can be seen in the photos this car is in need of a complete restoration, ut the clean California Title makes it all worth it. It will need a new roof along with the front end fiberglass and fire wall,I believe the doors can be saved. The seats are all there and just need to be blasted and re-upolsteredI will answer any questions promptly and will send additional photos if requested there will beno reserve!
Thanks for looking
