I bought this car in 1978 from an employee at the dealership in San Dimas Calif, here it was the 1965 dealer's wife demo, he seller told me. It is loaded and a very rare colo, Evening Orchid with black interior, t was original paint when I bought it and I had it painted in 1986 as the original lacquer was fading through. The door jams,under the hood and trunk are still original paint and nice. It has NEVER been hit or dented only parking lot dings which were fixed when painted . This car I think needs a repaint if your wanting it perfect but as a driver leave it alone as it shows well but a real good blocking and paint would make it awesome. It still has the original grille with the original rivets which you never see and all the chrome,bumpers etc, re original chrome also.There is maybe one or twosmall bubbles in the lower part of the car but very small. The wheels came off a 1966 Corvette coupe I had and thought they belonged on this car and I still think they are great and has the original jack anda knock off spare to. I have the original SS hub caps that go with it. I also have the original AFB carb,that Edelbrock rebuilt for me,That goes and the original distributor and Power-glide case. It is a full numbers matching 327 cu in300 HP motor in great shape and runs as new. You can drive this car across the country. It has the original,very rare, 00 HP dual snorkel air cleaner that came on it new and the Original valve covers,not re-pops, hat I had chromed in the 80's. It has an Edelbrock 1406 600 CFM carb on the original intake and a 350 Turbo transmission and as I said I have the original Power Glide in bad shape though but the correct case etc and the turbo makes it very drivable. I changed the springs to get it to sit and handle nicely. 150,000 original miles, nbsp;Engine rebuilt at 86,000. We lived in Malibu back then and used to drive this Car to Palm Springs and as far as San Fran with the top down. It has like new tires also and we're putting new brakes on it for the buyer. The interior was replaced,reproduction seat covers and carpe, few years ago and one new top which is power and works perfectly. It has Power windows,factory, hat work also. Factory tilt wheel and factory wood grain two spoke steering wheel. It has power steering,power brakes,original finned drums,original keys,new Griffin aluminum radiator,the original one just got old,Replaced the radio with an AM FM stereo from auto sound don't think I have the Original AM,factory gauges that all SS cars had and the optional tach that actually came with the 300 HP option and that put the clock on the dash. Everything works but the clock works when it wants to. It has Air Conditioning that I had put in it in the 80's that I have updated in the last five years and blows cold and the original heater works also. Still has all the factory soft ray tinted glass and a clear rear window which is plastic as they all were then. It has the original top boot that I used twice in it's original sack. As you can see the books are there and the protecto plate in the name of the dealer where the gentleman worked that I bought it from in 1978. I have a clear South Carolina titl, where I live now, nd no funny BS paper work like some states have it's the real title in my name. The car still has the original California Black plates that came on it new and I'm the last registered owner in California so this is a legit car.Why am I selling it? I never drive it and I'm not getting and younger and I want some one to buy it that will use it and enjoy it as we always have. I have several older cars and just need the room. This is the perfect car to drive any where.
