The 1979 Chevrolet Corvette was a much smaller change from the last year. The standard seats are now the lighter weight and taller version that was introduced on the pace car in '78. The passenger seat now folds flat to the level of the cargo area. The automatic transmission equipped models had the rear gear ratio changed to 3.55:1.

The Corvette front and rear "soft" bumpers were up graded with new 1980 urethane plastic skin.The 1980 bumpers included the front and rear spoilers from the '78 pace car that were molded into the front and rear bumper pieces, hese reduced drag by approximately 15%. The skin covers the aluminum impact bars mounted on two telescopic brackets.In the stock hood were installed two NACA air ducts for better air flow to the blower air mass sensor and engine bay.Other than these changes the Corvette retains all of its original body panels with no damage.The custom “Rich Maroon Metallic” is very nicewith painted gold pin stripes. The black leather seat covers are new. The interior presents very well, o include the dash pad, arpet, nstruments, witches, nd door panels. Heads;Stock cast 8.5:1 low compression, ntake and exhaust passages ported for maximum air flow, alues reworked, ew Crower valve springs, .5 roller rockers on intake valves, .6 roller rockers on exhaust valves to extend dwell time on exhaust valves, ew Fel-Pro head gaskets, ew Teflon cap type valve seats,andlifter valley oil baffle.

Transmission; Turbo 350 with installed 400 valve body, &M shift kit, 200 RPM stall converter, nd new heavy duty rubber mounts.
