1968 Cadillac DeVille Convertible San Mateo Red

Elegant 1968 Cadillac DeVille convertible repainted in an original color of San Mateo Red metallic with the original black leather interior; powered by Cadillac’s legendary 472 cu. in. V-8 rated at 375 h.p. and backed by a Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. An additional and stunning bonus are the ‘real’ Cadillac chrome wire wheels complimented with 15” Firestone radial white wall tires.

From the factory the color of the car was Baroque Gold, but a number of years ago it was repainted in the color you see now. The total original mileage on the DeVille is 79,000.

This DeVille is being sold as part of an estate, so the history of the car is not complete. It was purchased approximately 10 years ago shortly after it had been repainted and about 2 years ago the owner added the wheels and tires.

Electrically the top, windows, factory gauges (including the speedometer), turn signals, lights, horns, etc. all function. Only the A/C, power antenna, and radio do not work.

The frame and floors in the trunk and passenger area appear very solid which would lead one to believe the car was garage kept for most of its life.

There are areas of the body and chrome which are starting to show their age. Please view all pictures and video carefully.

There are no maintenance records or receipts for any of the work performed.

This DeVille starts easily, drives smoothly, and rides like a Cadillac should.
