1961 Cadillac DeVille.
This car has been in storage for the better part of 16 years. I put about 1000 miles on it between 2007 and 2010. It spent some time in SoCal at the beach from 2008 to 2010 so it has some rust along the edges and in the pictures shown. In 2010 I stored it in a warehouse in the dry low desert in Banning, CA where it has been since I decided to sell it. It currently resides outside my home in Aliso Viejo, CA.
What works...
This car is straight. It has never been in an accident.All chrome is straight and clean.All trim is straight and clean.Engine is good however there is an exhaust leak at the manifold.Powerglide transmission was completely overhauled Transmasters in Luecadia, CA and has approx 1,000 miles.Cooling system including radiator and water pump were replaced in 2022.Fuel pump and carb replaced in 2021.Most internal / external functions still work including power windows, wipers, retractable antennae, am radio, interior lights, exterior lights, power brakes, high beam detector, and much more.All interior is original except seats. See pictures for details.New formed carpet set is included in the sale. It is in a box in the trunk.Whitewall tires and hubcaps and clean and free from dents. However, the car sat on the tires for 3-4 years so there are some flat spots.
What doesn't work...
This car has small rust spots throughout and one softball size spot below the drivers door (see pictures). The most extensive is shown in the pictures but you will find small rust spots around the car in the edges of the doors, trunk, hood, etc..The passenger door window is cracked, however this sale comes with a new passenger door window in the box.The front power seat did work when I purchased the car but recently, but now, I can hear the motor run but the seat does not move.
