Extremely solid and original 1953 Cadillac 4 door series 62. It has a big 331 V8 backed by an automatic transmission. The engine has been freshened up with a new water pump, custom aluminum radiator, front and rear main seal, cleaned out oil pan and pickup tube, and new oil pan gasket, all within the last year. The transmission pan has been dropped as well and cleaned. The car runs and drives great with a complete brand new brake system. The master cylinder was replaced along with all 4 wheel cylinders. The rubber brake lines were all replaced and the hard lines are extremely solid. The power steering works great and the transmission shifts smooth. No leaks. The fuel tank was cleaned out along with any rubber fuel lines replaced. The fuel gauge did work but I believe the float has fallen off in the tank and needs to be reattached to the gauge sending unit. The car stops great. Brake lights, headlights, high beams, fog lights, and license plate lights work, all interior lights come on but the dash lights done seem to work. Temperature gauge and speedometer work. The interior is 100% original and in amazing condition. The seats are not fragile and feel practically brand new. The headliner has 0 holes and feels like silk, even the green carpet is original, true time capsule. The steering wheel is huge and beautiful like the rest of the car. No cracks or damage. The dash is solid metal and has no paint fade or issues. The trunk has the original jack and even the original trunk jack decal. All the weatherstripping is original and still soft! The car has 0 body rust, couldn’t be more solid. However the exhaust system has some rust holes and would need to be gone over. The paint appears to be mostly if not fully original, it’s a soft light green with a dark green emerald top. The paint has some touch ups here and there but for how original it is, it’s great. The chrome has light fading in spots but no peeiling or rust. The car starts with the touch of a key, even was fully warm. Parking brake works perfect. Has all the original Keys. Ready to drive anywhere anytime. The power windows do not work, the glass is all perfect but they are stuck down. Absolutely beutiful car that cannon be described in words, truly must see in person to appreciate. Tons of original paperwork including manual and service records. 51,055 original miles NOT ROLLED OVER.
