CMC is proud to present this Frame Off Restored 1966 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. This is a very low production Cadillac with Factory A/C, Factory Bucket Seats and console and the very rare head rests. With only 2,250 Eldorados built in 1966, there was only a handful built with all options as this one.
This Eldorado was a recipient of a no expense spared Frame Off Restoration. Photo Documentation of the restoration will be included with the car. The restoration consisted of the body coming off the frame. The frame was power coated and all new fuel line and brake lines installed. All components were rebuilt and reinstalled. The interior was completely restored to factory specs. The dash board was taken apart and every gauge was rebuilt. The chrome was triple chrome plated. The car had a new tan top installed. The convertible top boot is matching the interior. The body was fully striped and repainted in the original Color code. The end result was a like new Cadillac Eldorado.
Mechanically the car was fully rebuilt at the time of restoration. All systems and components were rebuilt. The end result is a like new Eldorado the runs and drives flawlessly. The car has plenty of power and rides amazingly smooth as this is the very last rear wheel drive Eldorado to ever be built. The front wheel drive Eldorado's do not have the ride quality as the 1966 and older models. This car also has all the creature comforts that you could ask for . Power windows and top work effortlessly. The power seats, lights, A/C, all operate well. The car is truly like taking a step back in time. The Eldorado is very comfortable to drive and you find yourself wanting to drive it often.
The Eldorado Convertible RWD was first built in 1953 and production continued up until 1966. The 1966 model year marks the final year of production of a rear wheel drive Eldorado Convertible.
