This is a 100% original interior and exterior, 46K mile, one owner car that I purchased almost 5 years ago from the original purchasing family. A true barn find! The car had sat over 30 years. I had every inch of the car mechanically reviewed and addressed. Work was performed in 2016 and 2017 and includes the following: Total engine rebuild by technician who rebuilt the Ghostbusters movie car, all done to original specs (except slight overbore for new cylinders / rings as required). Rebuilt the transmission all to original specifications. Rebuilt carburetor, generator, A/C compressor. Installed new fuel pump, oil pump, fuel tank, fuel lines, brake cylinders and various brake lines, radiator core, belts, hoses, battery, master brake vacuum booster and cylinder, entire exhaust system, all of the obvious such as spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, coil, voltage regulator, etc. Every grease fitting and bearing was properly lubricated. Brand new Coker white-wall tires were installed all around to original specification. I'm sure I am forgetting more but there is just so much to list. The car is in excellent mechanical condition with only a few thousand miles on all recent work listed above.
This car is loaded with features such as the automatic hi-beam headlights system which still works!!!! As would be expected, this 63 year old car has it's flaws. I am doing the best of my ability to list everything here. The power windows work but one is weak. The driver window switch operates intermittently. The clock, radio and seat are not working. The clock and seat did work initially but I have not had the time to address them since. The interior is overall in good condition for its age and is the nice black and white color combination. There are some areas, mainly in the front seat where leather / vinyl is cracking or split. But overall the seats are in nice shape. Heat works great but the AC does not work. I do not know why the compressor will not kick on.The windsheild wipers do not function. I disconnected the vacuum lines to them when initially dialing in the carburetor and vacuum leaks were causing issues. This has never been a problem for me because I do not take the car out in the rain, ever! The car has never seen any weather since my ownership. There are a couple of very small rust spots at the front fenders at the very bottom. There is surface rust / pitting on all of the flat surfaces of paint as would be expected on 63 year old factory paint. I have chosen to just wax over it all and retain the original paint on the car. That's what makes this car so special is that it is all original and still turns lots of heads. People stop me everywhere to ask about the originality of the car and are always blown away! Every time I drive the car I get flashing lights, honks, waives, thumbs up and smiles... every single time. This is a really special car.
I am selling because I am moving and have less space for my car collection and I must sell this car within 1 week. I refuse to put it out in the weather. I will be listing on other local formats as well and the first money in my hand gets this car. She needs a good home where she will be cared for, appreciated and enjoyed as much as my family has. I hate to let her go but I just have no choice at this point.
