1985 Cadillac Eldorado --
1985 Cadillac Eldorado 72,960 Miles 2 Owner, Indiana From New Original Light Blue Metallic Paint Tremendously Clean, Rust-Free Body HT4100 V8 DFI VIN: 1G6EL5780FE622828 We purchased this fantastic '85 Eldorado out of Indiana, where it had remained since new. Sold new at Rudd Oldsmobile-Cadillac-GMC of LaPorte, the car stayed with the original owner in LaPorte all the way until 2016, when it sold to a gentleman in Griffith, who we bought it from. This two owner car is phenomenally original and well-preserved. Garage-kept and enthusiast-owned since new,... this example is certainly one of the good ones. As it sits now, this car is in need of nothing other than a new owner who will use and enjoy it. Exterior: - Please see the video along with the listing, as the car is shown in detail. Blemishes are all shown close-up, though they are minimal. While 73k miles is relatively low, the condition of the car is more like that of a sub-30k miler. Truly excellent inside and out. Blemishes are limited to a handful of very minor chips, as well as a little ding on the driver's rear quarter. - This car still retains its original paint, as confirmed with a paint gauge. The only panel that has ever been resprayed is the hood, and it was done to a high standard. Light Blue Metallic (WA8574) with White and Dark Blue pinstripes (3967, 8659). Paint presents extremely well, with no significant signs of age to note. Extremely impressive, show-worthy original condition throughout. - Body is bone dry, with no bubbling/blistering/cracking to be found. This car has been garage-kept and responsibly owned and it shows. No bubbling hiding behind the rocker trim or anything like that. - Polished surfaces are all in excellent shape. Mirror-like finish. No oxidation on the bumpers, mirrors, or window trim. - We replaced the original front and rear filler panels with fiberglass units, so they will not break apart like the original units tend to. Color-match is spot on. - Glass and light lenses are all clear and crack-free. Lights and signals are all functional. - Doors open and close nice and smooth. No slamming to get them shut. - Blue vinyl top is excellent. No aging to note. A nice, deep color and free of any damage, discoloring, etc. - Wheels are very nice, with no curb rash or damage. Tires are in good shape, though we do not know exactly how old they are. Regardless, no dryness, significant wear, or anything like that. Interior: - Interior is absolutely gorgeous. The dark blue color suits the car just right. Seats are in amazing shape. There are two little specs on the passenger seat bottom (see photo), but aside from that, no punctures, scuffs, fraying, burns, or discoloring in both front and rear. Door panels are free of any kicked-open markings, armrest indentations, or window switch panel oxidation. Dash wood is free of hairline cracks. Dash top is totally mint. Carpet is still nice and plush, with great color and no fraying or discoloring. Factory floormats are excellent as well. Radio is functional. Fan/heat/climate control is functional, air conditioning was converted to R134a refrigerant in 2003 but does not currently blow cold. Should just need a charge since it has already been converted, but we haven't leak-down tested it and cannot guarantee the charge will hold. Gauges are all functional. Odometer reads 72,960 and is functional. Headliner is in good shape, but is starting to loosen in the driver rear corner. Mechanical / Underbody: - Please take a look through the underbody photos, as the car is documented in detail. This car looks quite good underneath. Some minor bits of surface rust on various suspension components, but very much dry and solid throughout. This car was undercoated, garage-kept, responsibly-owned and it shows. - The car runs and drives beautifully. Truly no tendencies or noises of concern. It starts right up first turn, idles cool and steady, pulls smoothly through the gears with no hesitation, shifts quietly and on-time, has light and direct steering, and the ride quality is outstanding. No shakes, rattles, etc. The car tracks straight down the road, doesn't wander, and brakes straight and effectively. Confidence-inspiring. Road trip tomorrow without hesitation.
