1939 Cadillac Sixty Special Town Car

Introduced in 1938 the Sixty Special was based on Cadillac's Series 60 class and featured a steeply raked split windshield, stunning chrome grille, integrated trunk, unique "X-frame", and lack of running boards. Despite being an entry level Cadillac, the Sixty Special was a hit with buyers and quickly became the standard of not only the brand, but of all luxury models produced in the years following. This particular town car was finished by the Derham Body Co. The original drivetrain has since been replaced by a modern Chevrolet 350 cu in motor backed by a TH350 automatic transmission. Power steering, power brakes, and rear seat A/C have also been installed. The result of which is a stunning 1939 Cadillac that is turn-key ready for any drive or event, no matter the distance. If the buyer so desires a correct drivetrain featuring a flathead V8 is available. Unique features of this Cadillac include: optional retractable partition glass between the front and rear seats, in-dash clock, removable roof section, four front-hinged doors, a longer 127 in wheelbase in comparison to the standard Series 60 cars, and a column mounted shift lever.

Within 48 hours of the auction end, a $1,000.00 deposit shall be received in the form of a credit card, cashiers-check, certified funds, personal check, or cash. If adeposit has not been received or an alternate arrangement has not been made, the vehicle can be made available to other potential buyers on a first come, first serve basis. All financial transactions should be completed within 14 days after auction ends. Our doors are open to pre-purchase inspections by the buyer or a third party inspector. Inspections must be scheduled with us. We recommend completing inspections prior to the end of auction. The buyer is responsible for any inspection charges or fees. As stated above, the following forms of payment are accepted: cash, cashiers check, personal check, credit card, loan check, wire transfer.
