1959 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 60

Too many projects, not enough time! Long story short, I bought this fairly complete, unmodified Fleetwood a couple months ago with the understanding that it was a turn-key, ready to drive car.Unfortunately it can currently only rumble from one parking spot to another, and go low speed up and down the street - not ready to go into traffic, or high speeds.Well, I already have 4 other project cars needing work, and even though the Fleetwood has so much potential, I need a car that I can actually drive now!So I shook my head, parked her in the driveway, and decided she needs a home that's gonna show her more love and attention that I can.

Engine: 390 V8 engine starts up and runs fine, thanks to a new battery and professionally rebuilt carburetor.I changed the oil, oil filter and fan belts as well. The valve covers were leaking, so I replaced one of them - the engine bay will smoke when it warms up, from burning off old oil leaks and could use a deep clean. Most of the exhaust is rotted away. Gas tank was drained, and appeared rust-free inside. Odometer says 15k miles, unknown how accurate that is...I think the car hasn't been on the open road since 1996 or so.

Transmission:Car goes into gear fine, I've driven it forward and reverse.Trans does have a dripping leak when running, from something inside the bellhousing, as far as I can tell.Haven't tried any "stop leak" products or inspected further.

Brakes: Supposedly rebuilt by previous owner a couple years ago, with new hardware, hoses, etc.The brakes actually do work, but pull hard to the right and need adjustment.

Interior: Fairly complete, dash it cracked as they all are, so is the horn ring but I have the piece that broke off.Floor pans are rotten through significantly, but replacements are available.Interior needs to be redone, but is very useable for a template at least. Windows don't respond to controls.

Body: She's an original paint code 49 Woodrose pink Cadillac!Hood has surface rust, trunk does too plus thick bondo cracks.Drivers side is very straight, passenger side is wobbly. Some rust at bottom of front fenders, rear window bottom corners, and on bottom rear quarter panels. Rear passenger door stuck shut. "Fleetwood" trunk molding is in the trunk with a few interior lenses.

Title: She had a clean California title, in my name, with current registration through November.

Please bid to win, questions welcome! Do a brake job and tune up and refurbish-as-you-go, or strip her down for a full restoration, or whatever floats your boat.
