Overview:

Here is a very cool find. It is a 1959 Cadillac Series 62 2dr HT in good driver quality condition. This car recently came out of long term storage. I would say it's an older amateur restoration. It's a very good driver that looks great from 5 to 10 feet away but up close has some imperfections. These '59 Cadillac's are very hard to find and this car is all there and is equipped with desirable factory air conditioning. You can drive this car and not worry about it or it is an excellent base for a full restoration. Or drive as you restore. The car does need some TLC. It does run pretty good and just had the full system gone through along with the brakes. The body is overall very solid. This is a great find!

Exterior:

This '59 Caddy shows well as driver. It has an older amateur paint job that looks fine from a far but upon close inspection it has its flaws. This is an original Breton blue car but was changed to a brighter blue. The body is overall pretty straight with good fit. It is overall rust free with nice floors with the exception of the lower rear quarters, which had some rust repair. It mainly shows from the underside. All of the chrome and trim appears to be original and again looks fine for a driver but would all need to be redone to be perfect. All the glass looks to be very nice and the rubbers are weak. It is sitting on its original wheels and very nice hubcaps with older bias ply tires.

Interior:

The interior again was redone several years ago and done in blue and white vinyl. It was originally blue and black cloth and vinyl. It is fine for an average driver. The dash pad had an amateur repair done to it. It has a perfect horn ring but the steering wheel has several cracks. The courtesy lights work and two of the power windows. The a/c, heater, horn, two power windows, directionals, radio, power antenna and power seat needs to be fixed. The interior is all complete. In side the trunk was redone years ago and looks fine with its correct spare and jack.

Mechanically:

The car runs and drives pretty well. It has its original 390ci engine that runs well and the automatic transmission shifts good. The fuel system and brakes were all gone through. Under the hood is all stock and all there. The steering is alittle loose and could use some attention. It has a small exhaust leak that needs to be fixed. With a little TLC it would be a fine driver just the way it sits.
