Overview:

Here a very clean and very rare 1947 Cadillac "Series 62" Club Coupe fastback in great condition inside and out. It is one of only 7,245 Club Coupes produced in '47 and is one of the most sought after Cadillac's on the market. This particular car came out of our personal collection were it spent that last several years, as we recently decided to sell a few of our keepers. Previous to us this car was in a very long-term private collection were it was very well kept and maintained and it shows. The car was restored several years ago but only lightly shows its age. When it was restored, they did a few very mild and tasteful custom things to it; to give is a very unique and cool look. They also upgraded the engine to a 1950 Cadillac 331ci V8 with an Offenhauser intake and dual carbs, making this a much better running '47 Caddy. The baby still has it original Cadillac Identification card in the kick panel, showing it was delivered new at Colgan Motors, Inc in Lorain, Ohio on October 30th, 1947 to Mr. I.D. McCarthy of Lorain, Ohio.

Exterior:

This Cadillac has a great look finished in two tone red and maroon. It has one of the straightest, most solid, rust free bodies I have seen on a '47 Caddy in a long time. It was painted several years ago when the car was restored. The paint shows great overall and has a great shine to it. But has a few small spots that show some age or I should say character. This is lacquer paint and on the back, by the trunk there is some light crazing but hardly noticeable. I have everything pictured in the ad. They did shave the door handles and trunk handle and now they are both on remote. These items could be put back to stock if desired or leave the clean look. The chrome is overall in excellent condition and shines beautifully. The grill chrome has a couple minor flaws but still looks great. Some of the chrome moldings were painted to match the car and look very cool. They could also be very easily be rechromed and put back to stock if you desired. It is sitting on a set of factory wheels with restored '57 Caddy hubcaps and wide white wall tires. These fastback Caddys, have one of the slickest looks of any car and are very rare on top of that!!

Interior:

The interior was completely all restored and looks amazing done in the correct type broadcloth material. The dash look amazing as was fully restored and has a beautiful steering wheel with only one small flaw. All the chrome on the dash is in excellent original condition. It has its original radio with an FM converter that I cannot seam to get to work. All of the glass is in great condition with a couple small flowers etched into the glass on the corners but very tastefully done. Inside of the trunk it looks great and nicely done with its correct spare.

Mechanically:

The car runs and drives great. This car really needs nothing mechanically and is ready to drive and enjoy. It has an upgraded 331ci Cadillac V8 from a 1950 Cadillac along with the automatic transmission. It is also topped with an Offenhauser intake with dual carbs. Under the hood is very clean and nicely detailed. The suspension is tight and it stops great. It even sounds nice and quite like it should. The only thing I noticed is that the heater core is disconnected. Even windshield washer bottle and washer is complete and intact. This Caddy is ready to go!!

All Arizona Buyers must pay 7.9% sales tax!
