Description:
1950 Cadillac Other 2 Door Two Tone Coupe
This is a one of a kind restomod 1950 2 door coupe. It was frame off restored about 9 years ago. The paint is near flawless as is the chrome, stainless steel and all body panels. The interior is identical to the exterior in condition. This is a 1950 Cadillac with a functional continental kit. (I don't think you will find another one anywhere with this setup). A rear bumper from a 1952 Cadillac was installed to get the exhaust up and besides it's sooo much cooler looking! The engine was professionally built to my specifications. It's got AFR heads, roller cams, solid lifters, balanced headers and yet it is not loud or obnoxious,...it's a Caddy!! (The motor was rated at just over 500 BHP and somewhere in the 490 ft/lb torque range). I built the Caddy to look "stock" and to sound almost stock. (It always has a little "burble" at idle and always turns heads). But if put your foot into it,..it'll go!! The wheels were professionally built in Los Angeles and I do not drive it hard, especially off the line as I don't want to "de-tune" the spoke wheels. The two rear wheels were just replaced with Diamond Back wide whites. The fronts are Cokers and even though there is still great tread on them should be replaced due to age. Five years ago, I had two offers of $100K for this car,.. I wasn't ready to sell. I am now and I'm asking less than that. (I have well over $125K invested,...ouch)! This car was built to be driven and we drive it. We drive it a thousand miles every October to a great car show in Mississippi and then on numerous other much shorter trips. I usually average between 16-18 MPG on the highway at 70 MPH. Now every car of this ilk has "warts". There are about 2 or 3 that I can think of on this car: The speedo and gauges need to be rebuilt and converted to 12VDC. They are still all non functional with the exception of the speedometer. The Vintage Air air conditioning is the weakest point on the car and may only need servicing, but it surely needs to be ducted better. The radiator needs a professionally built shroud. The one I have, I built last minute for proper cooling and although very functional in cooling, not very attractive. The console that you see in the pix can be removed in about 2 to 3 minutes and reinstalled in about 5 minutes. If you drive this car anywhere and stop, don't plan on getting back on the road anytime soon. If on the interstate, we plan about 45 minutes minimum for each stop. I really gets people taking and smiling!! (One of the most regular compliments we get is on the color scheme of the car. It is a regal color and attention grabber.) You see my "Buy it Now Price",...I'll "look" at all offers, but don't insult me please. (The "car guys" I know tell me to wait until next January and take it to Scottsdale and look at $125K; I'd rather not wait that long). This car is for sale locally and will be removed if/when sold locally.Vehicle Details:
