Description:

1941 Cadillac Fleetwood --

Submitted for your consideration is this senior-owned 1941 60 series Fleetwood Sedan owned by a member of our A.A.C.A. car club who is downsizing his collection of "keepers". Vehicle is a solid example purchased in Kentucky, now resides in southern Franklin, TN, and is highly restored throughout. The car was born black with an automatic transmission, but was modified by the previous owner to a 3-stage Cadillac pearl white, and 3 speed manual transmission (trans. correct for this vintage). The current owner has significant documented restoration investment and improvements in all areas except paint which was not modified since he prefers the current Cadillac pearl white quality. The only negative to this beautiful example is a base-ball sized dent in the right fender (see photo), and there are 2 or 3 small areas of paint "bubbling" for lack fo a better description. This appears to be nothing more than a paint-prep issue. Of course with any used car a personal inspection is suggested, but not required.
MECHANICALS:Rebuilt Flat head Engine. Rebuilt Manual 3 speed Transmission. All Suspension & Brake components are new or otherwise rebuilt. All new bushings etc. throughout. Owner added air-shocks to further enhance the ride (These can be easily removed if Buyer prefers to be more original). Gas tank is new. Generator new. Regulator new. New rear axle bearings & seals.
New Wheel cylinders. New Exhaust. Pertronic Ignition etc. Hood Hinges are weak with age andhood is supported with a hood prop.
All new Coker Tires with less than 500 miles on them.Undercarriage has been painted/detailed & restored. No apparent fluid leaks observed on inspection (see photos).Vehicle drives as it should------no unusual sounds, symptoms, pulling etc. Vehicle is quiet.Prior owner had added aftermarket AC which current owner chose not to reinstall as part of this restoration since the integrity of the add-on AC was uknown. It is however included with this sale.
INTERIOR:
Interior is completely new throughout ($6k+/-): New Headliner. New high quality leather-appearing vinyl upholstery (indiscernable from leather in appearance). Plush seat padding. All new Door Cards. Carpet & Padding with sound deadener. Exquisitely restored woodgraining on dash. All the original Wood has beenbeautifullyrestored and is a work of art for its quality.Original Instruments are in place, but not reliable due to age. For this reason owner added a 2nd set of add-on gauges mostly for fuel & battery voltage. All components work as they should.
EXTERIOR:Cadillac 3-stage pearl-white paint in good condition. (2 quarter-sized minor surface rust bubbles on right quarter need attention). Right Fender has a small dent near headlight where owner nudged up against something in his garage. Even still these areas do not detract largely from it's gorgeous appearance. Glass is good/intact/undamaged throughout.Chrome is in very good shape. Brightwork (grille & other bezels) have minor pitting consistent with this vintage. I'd rate the brightwork a strong 8 out of 10Sale includes extra engine, trans, clutch drivetrain and rear end that owner acquired over time.
Includes historical documentation of restoration & manuals etc.Vehicle is beautiful to see and a true attention-getter for it's classic look.
Vehicle is located in Franklin, TN. I will post other photos once I have them but this is all that he sent me so far.
This solid example has won a virtual ton of trophys etc. Owner is getting some pressure to sell at big-block auction, but not interested. So buy it now and save the commission!
Competitively priced to sell. As the owner will tell you "Someone's going to get one hell of a Cadillac". (See his 2-owner 11k original mile 2003 Anniversary Corvette Conv. for sale as well). Please direct any inquiries to Chris at: 615.979.3058 before 11PM CST please.
