This auction is for one 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. If you didn't buy one new in 1978 this is the next closest one that you will find. This car is only outside of it's climate controlled garage or warehouse when being driven in good weather. It has never seen a night outside or even rain for the duration of my ownership. ( four years/ 3. 00+ miles) I was under the impression the previous owners treated nearly the same. The original paint shines and a clear reflection can be seen in it. all of the stainless and chrome trim pieces are free of chips. clear. and bright. Note the passenger side picture. the reflection of the markings on the foam board that is standing by the car. The interior is in excellent condition. there is one small blemish on the rear seat. the leather has a scratch that is about 1/4 inch long and 1/8 inch wide. The floor mats are in great condition. it is dusty in this warehouse so the drivers mat does show some of that from getting in and out. there is no discoloration or excessive wear on the floor mat. The drivers seat does have creases that coincide with the mileage and being in the seat for that time - excellent condition still and very soft. The power accessories operate as they should. the windows go up and down surprisingly fast. The touch lighting on the door handles work every time. even with the slightest touch. This car is equipped with the factory CB radio. The engine and transmission operate smoothly at any speed and provide plenty of power to move the car down the freeway with the cruise control on. the undercarriage of the car is rust free. clean. and dry. This car does not leak. anything. Look closely at the pictures of the trunk. it is in new condition. there is not any wear present on the rubber mat. there are no stains or discoloration of the carpeting. The collapsible spare tire has never been used. it doesn't look like it has ever been moved. Since we have owned this Cadillac we have converted the A/C to R134. had new exhaust installed front to rear. new power steering hoses. radiator and heater hoses. installed new valve cover gaskets. spark plugs and wires. new water pump (noticed a drip one day). nbsp;changed all fluids every spring. and had the carburetor professionally rebuilt. The alloys on the car have been restored. I purchased another car for those wheels - the other car had a continental kit also. I kept that fifth wheel that mounted on the trunk. It is in a box where it should stay - it looked ridiculous but it will come with the car. hopefully it remains in the box. There are also 4 of the color coordinated hub caps that the car came with from the factory. The weather stripping on the doors. window surrounds. and trunk really support the history of the car. there is no dry rot present. All of the weather stripping is soft and pliable. there is no wind noise at 75 MPH in this Eldorado. it is truly a pleasure to own and drive. There are quite a few cars that I like and want to own. drive. and enjoy - I could not build a building large enough for all of them - so my daughter and I purchase these cars. enjoy them. and then sell one occasionally to make room. We just picked up two more that we are looking forward to having around for a while. a Lincoln Mark III and an F100. We maintain these cars to drive on cruises that sometimes are 200 miles or so. nbsp;in all cases they have been in better mechanical condition when we have sold them.
