The following is a recap of the condition description at the top. Please proceed to next section if you already read it: I purchased this spectacular Brougham from the original owner 2 years ago where it was garage kept since new. All original. Laser straight body. Runs perfect. Very well maintained. Cosmetically and mechanically sound. Factory original vinyl roof covering is impeccable. No rust because the car has never been driven in snow or on salty roads. I have many pages of all original documentation including original window sticker, sales invoice, sales brochure, shop manual, and some other very interesting items such as the Cadar radar detector which is ALL included with the sale of this car. Two things...you might want to replace the power antenna because it no longer moves up or down. ONLY ON THE FLAT SURFACES ON AND AROUND THE HOOD AND TRUNK LID, the original paint is "checked" and slightly peppered with bits of very minor surface corrosion. Since this was the very last year for dispersion lacquer factory paint and it still shines nicely when waxed, I decided to leave it all original, patina intact!
More important details about this Cadillac:
- This Brougham will certainly delight it's new owner for many, many years to come. It is an exceptional car that will undoubtedly keep rising in value year after year. You can buy with extreme confidence because it is EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED.
- Will be sold riding on it's ORIGINAL white and gold wall Uniroyal Royal Seal tires!
- It is smoke-free, smell-free, mildew and mold-free, rust-free, and accident-free.
- The original R-12 air conditioning system works well. It has NOT been converted to R-134a. Many Brougham owners make this mistake when they are rushed or talked into repairing their A/C system. When you convert to R-134a, it's never works as efficiently, never as cold, and it is never all original. This is extremely important to collectors who are picky about the smallest details.
- The front shock absorbers were replaced in 2016. Also, the rear air suspension or "level ride" system has been gone over for proper functionality. The rear air shocks were replaced in 2016 and plumbed into the car's level control system so it's rear height raises/lowers automatically with the original factory components.
- As happens to all GM cars of this era at some point, the headliner material started to sag and come unglued from the molded foam shell. Don't worry, because it's already been addressed. The dark blue interior headliner and sail panel material was completely replaced in 2016. ALL interior trim was painstakingly removed and reinstalled with the utmost care and attention to detail. The finished product is absolutely flawless. It looks factory fresh!
- Unlike it's anemic, carbureted 5.0L counterpart, this 5.7L fuel-injected engine bestowed upon it's new owner the $850.00 "gas guzzler" tax in 1990 - something the previous owner wore as a badge of honor!
- Includes original space-saving spare tire and jack assembly. Everything is in it's proper place inside the trunk. Spare tire and jack assembly has never been used!
- A tune-up was done in 2016 including a new brass distributor cap and rotor, new spark plugs, new air and fuel filters, and a new breather filter and PCV valve. Any vacuum lines that were cracked due to age were also replaced.
- the original window sticker,
- sales invoices,
- records,
- sales brochure,
- shop manual,
- leather glovebox owner's manual,
- both sets of original gold keys that were given to the car's first owner as part Cadillac's "Gold Key Delivery System"
- Vogue tire pamphlet
- EXTREMELY RARE "CADAR" radar detector by Vogue made exclusively for Cadillacs of this vintage. This is one of those very hard to find "grail" accessory items. Furthermore, it works wonderfully and comes complete with the original box and sales receipt. These units fit snugly into the car's garage door opener plug that sits between the sun visors and are powered independent of the cigarette lighter socket. This meant no annoying hanging wires to obstruct the driver's view of the road, and the radar detector sat at the prime height to detect radar beams from further distances.
- Original hubcap / wire wheelcover literature, lock wrench, and lock wrench replacement card
- multiple GM brochures
- copy of the original Pennsylvania title from 1990 showing this car with 123 miles on the odometer!
- original GM protection plan and Gold Key VIN identification cards
Don't miss out on this extremely nice car. This Brougham represents GM, specifically Cadillac, at it's finest hour. I'm very pleased to offer this very fine collector car for sale to the eBay community. If you don't have the time to personally come out and inspect it before bidding, you can be assured it is EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED. However, if you are considering making the trip to see this car, it is absolutely worth the drive or plane ticket from anywhere. I guarantee it. Fly in and drive it home around the corner or across the country.
