Who hasn't dreamed of owning a Hearse?
Well, this is your lucky day. This fabulous Cadillac FleetwoodBrougham Concours d'Elegance could be yours. (Seriously, that's the entire name of this model. They weren't messing around in the 1980s...)
We purchased this magnificent vehicle last summer in great original condition, and then had the opportunity to customize it a little bit.It has served us very well but it's now time for someone else to enjoy it here on earth, before reaching the afterlife.
This wonderful Cadillac only has about 75000 miles on it. The engine purrs and passed smog with flying colors in August.The transmission shifts great, the brakes work as they should and the suspension is as soft and comfy as you can expect from a Cadillac. The engine is the Oldsmobile 307 version, which I have been told was a better engine. The cooling system was recently redone and we did not have any issue whatsoever driving through Sacramento fully loaded in 110F weather, then climbing the Sierra up to Reno - and back. The tires are in great shape. I would venture to say that this car could be driven across country tomorrow morning. In fact, I may even deliver it to you just so I have one last opportunity to drive it!
There Is not a spec of rust on the body - it has always been in Nevada and California. Originally Silver, it was repainted in matte black last summer. All the chrome trims were removed and reinstalled so there is no overspray. The "Day of the Dead" theme is made up of stickers so it could be easily removed if wanted. There is no dent on the body. I have included a picture of it right after we bought it.
It does have a couple things that could need attention, but nothing that detracts from the pleasure of driving this unique vehicle around.The A/C is all there but does not blow cold. The windshield has a crack on the top portion. The door panels could use some love. The power windows all work, but they are sometime slow to go up or down. There is a rip in the headliner and the dash has a couple cracks.
The sliding coffin platform has been removed but I still have it if you are interested. There are no ghosts or other otherworldly creatures in it.
We have had a lot of fun with this vehicle - it has been tremendously reliable and never let us down. There are not very many Cadillac Hearse of that era left...be ready to attract a lot of attention.Unfortunately we don't really have a place to store it and it's time for someone else to enjoy it.
