1963 Cadillac DeVille

Up for sale is my 1963 Cadillac Coupe deVille. One look at this stunning automobile and it is easy to see that it has been extremely well cared for since it rolled out of the factory some 54 years ago. I purchased this car 25 years ago from the original owner so it is a verified two owner car. At the time I purchased the car in 1992 it had 93,000 miles on the odometer so just 20,000 additionalmiles have been put on the car in the past 25 years, mainly going to car shows, cruises, and having it in parades. This beautiful car has had one re-paint in its original color of Aspen White over 20 years ago and still shines like new with only a couple of nicks and a few very small paint bubbles that are depicted in the photos.Seats were re-upholstered at the time of the re-paint using correct fabric from SMSand still look fantastic as you can see from the photos. Headliner, dash, carpet and door panels are all factory original and in extremely good condition. Steering wheel was professionally restored two years ago at a cost of 1600.00 and is perfect.Chrome is in excellent condition with some pieces having been re-chromedover the years.Dash lenses are clear and dash chrome is like new. All glass is clear and unblemished and power windows, six way power seat, power door locks and all lights work correctly. Car has factory original air conditioning that hasrecently been refurbished and still uses R-12 refrigerant. Factory originalAM Radio with Wonderbar scan works as does the power antenna. The originalpowerful 390 V-8 (matching numbers) engine was rebuilt in 2005 at which time the engine bay was detailed. Transmission was also rebuilt at the same time.So what needs attention: clock looks like new but does not work, Guidematic automatic headlight dimmer works sporadically so it is currently disconnected. There is also a small vibration at highway speeds that I believe to bethe driveshaft needing balancing or shim adjustmentbut I have never looked into it as I usually only drive the car locally or at lower speeds.Regular maintenance has always been done on the car and I have countless receipts ofthework that has been done on it over the years. I even have the originalpurchase agreement from when the car was purchased new at George McCaddon Oldsmobile-Cadillac in Boulder, Colorado in July of 1963!Also included with the car is the original owners manual, two sets of reproduction floor mats (one black setwith white crests and one white set with black crests) and a 1963 Cadillacshop manual. This car has brought so much fun and wonderful memories to our family that it has been a difficult decision to decide to sell it. However, I have reached that stage in my life when I should find another good home for it.This car is being sold as is and where is. Please contact me with questions or to set up a time to see it. Buyer is responsible for transport. Cash or wire transfer of funds are acceptable forms of payment. Vehicle will not be released for pick up or shipping until payment has been received in full. This car is a beautiful and well preserved example of whyCadillacwasknown as "The Standard of the World" in 1963. I hope to sell this car to someone who will not only thoroughly enjoy owning and drivingit, but to someone who will alsomaintain and preserve itfor future generations.
