BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
this Caddy is has been in Az for as long as we can track
its history, over 25 yrs. I believe the paint to possibly be
original, but if they redid it, there is no over spray to
be found. Its a running driving minimal to no rust, NO ROT
desert climate Az car.
But thats it. Check out the pics and more info below...thanks
DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND, apparently some people
who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules.
So if you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to
make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid.
Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!!
These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition
that are still affordable to most buyers.
DRIVETRAIN: the BB 472 motor sounds decent, and no smoke. Trans feels
good too as does the rearend. Brakes well, Factory 472 big block is a great
reliable engine. Prob could use a tune up and carb rebuild.
Ran it around town the other day in traffic and stuff and took it thru
emissions and passed no problem. On the way home the carb started acting
funny, and wouldnt idle. So made it home and going to try to mess with
the carb this week to get it running better. Also, the carb linkage is not original
and needs a better set up, its sloppy. Factory AC car, all there but probably
will need some work to get it up and running again.
INTERIOR: take a look, the AZ sun and heat have taken their toll on
the dash and leather. Carpet too is aged. Factory 8 track is pretty cool.
You could drive it as is, or just eventually redo it back to original.
Power seats still work, and has tilt too. I cant get the PS door to open.
The rod may be disconnected and or bent to the handle.
EXTERIOR:the body amazingly straight for its age, and could possibly
be original paint front to rear.Super solid rockers, quarters etc. Check out the pics.
Stainless trim looks very complete and in amazing shape. Chrome on
the bumpers is very nice too. All the glass is good too, but there is some
really old window tint on the side windows that needs to come off.
All the PW are currently working too. Leather top, yes, leather, not vinyl
is really showing its age and falling apart, but no crunchy metal under neath
and Im sure its solid thanks to the Az climate. Awesome original color combo
both inside and out, and rather rare !!
SUSPENSION:the suspension looks normal AND it rides and drives like
your typical CADDY !! Glides down the road like on a cushion of air !
Will need tires prob in the near future, the ones on there are about 5
yrs old. Spare in the trunk is flat, but all the jack stuff seems to be there
in order. Not sure if all the bushings and stuff are okay, but no weird clunks
or noises coming from the suspension while driving and tires wear looks
normal.
Speaking of which, there is NO Rot or major rust in the trunk under
whats left of the original carpet et.
Minimal rust under the car, making taking this car apart, almost a breeze !!
Check out ALL the pics below ----->
it may take a full minute for them all to load ifyou have a
slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll
bar on the right side.
Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate.
more infoAFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics.
There you have it, probably The BEST represented Caddys on Ebay.
Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them.
We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows.
People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale
and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats
paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end.
Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days
speaks volumes.
Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort
of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating.
People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are
fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.
Email us with ANY questions before you bid please
Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. We show you as
much feasibly possible via pics.
Dont let auctions withlittle to no pics try to fool you.
If they cant take the time to take pics of areas under the car they
are selling, maybe its not the best car to buy long distance.
With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect
until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER
with great pics to help making your decision easier.
Along with ANY other questions you may have.
Email me for a quote for shipping.
