1960 Cadillac DeVille Series 62

This auction is for a nice 1960 Cadillac series 62 coupe. It is the desirable Ebony Black & Olympic White colors from the factory. This Cadillac has a history of being cared for and it shows, always being stored inside and has a documented low mileage of 45137. There is an oil change sticker on the drivers door that shows the date 7-8-83 and mileage of 33538 and a copy of a title dated 7-31-84 with a mileage of 40220. Another great thing about this car is it is 99% rust free and has no evidence of ever being taken apart for major repairs. It had a thick rust proofing undercoating when it was new which prevented any corrosion. Even the rear wheel skirts and that area in the wheel opening, which is the first to rust out, are in great shape. The paint was done in the 90's and is a base coat/clear coat paint, so it polishes out very nicely. We did a 3-stage paint restoration on it, and the paint turned out very deep & glossy but there are chips and many other small defects, but from 10 feet away it looks great! All the sheet metal on this Cadillac is nice and straight, no dents. The original spare and all jack equipment are still with the car. The interior of the car is all original except for a dash cover cap and we installed a new headliner, the original one was discolored. All the glass on the car is good, no cracks, scars or scratches but the windshield has some small bubbles in it. The chrome and stainless on the car are in very good condition except for a couple pieces shown in the pictures. We completely rebuilt the brake and fuel systems on the car along with checking and replacing anything that needed it to make sure it was mechanically sound. These Cadillac coupes are getting hard to find in an affordable condition like this one, most are fully restored and expensive or complete basket cases. This 1960 Cadillac coupe is a great car that will only continue to appreciate in value, especially with its condition and low miles.
