1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz

This beautiful Colonial Yellow Eldorado Biarritz was sold new in Dallas TX and made its way to the Saratoga NY two years ago from a Florida collection. Over the last two years it has received many hours of careful restoration both mechanically and cosmetically to make it a reliable and well-preserved driver. A short list of recent work performed: All electrical connections on the car were thoroughly cleaned & checked; light, signals, power windows, seats, trunk, etc all in good working order. Original steel wheels and hubcaps were restored. The front suspension received new bushings, shocks etc with emphasis on restoration and not just parts renewal: Careful cleaning and painting was done on the suspension, chassis and undercarriage to bring it up to this level. The big V8 engine was also thoroughly detailed and received ceramic coated exhaust manifolds, lots of stainless hardware, chrome valve covers, new water pump / thermostat, coolant flush, new belts & hoses, power steering flush, oil & filter change and much more. The transaxle was also serviced with new fluids & filter before being re-sealed. A testament to the work performed is that this car does not leak any fluids: The engine, transmission and differential are all impeccably clean and this car does not leave a drop on the garage floor when parked. This classic cruiser starts easily with no smoke or unusual noises. The 425 V8 runs smoothly with great power through the smooth shifting 3 speed transaxle. Four wheels disc brakes are true and stop this big car easily. The automatic climate control system is complete and the blower works. The A/C will require service before working 100%. The self leveling rear air suspension system is also complete but not operating correctly at this time. While many classic Eldorados have rust issues ; This car has never seen a winter since new and shows to be rust free with a remarkably clean undercarriage, engine bay and trunk. There appears to have been a single stage re-paint many years ago in the original color. Paint and body work shows well but does have some imperfections shown in photos. Most notably a crease in the right front fender from a mishap in the owners driveway last year. Other paint imperfections are limited to minor chips & scratches. The vinyl top is original and exhibits only a small amount of the typical bubbling. The interior is all original and shows very well with only minor wear cisible on the drivers arm rest and seat. No rips or damage to the big, soft leather seats. The radio and all other dash functions are working with the clock being the only exception. This is a chance to own a 1970's status symbol Eldorado Biarritz in an attractive color with thousands spent on recent maintenance. Truly a turn-key car ready to drive and enjoy, or continue the restoration efforts to have a show winner.
