1973 Cadillac Coupe de Ville Time Capsule offered by Gas Monkey Garage . ! Fresh out of nearly 30 years of climate controlled storage, this beautiful example of the iconic personal luxury vehicle that once was reserved for Playboys and Princesses is now offered to you without reserve! An extremely solid, rust free Texas car originally sold in Fort Worth Texas which is where I found still after all these years. The first Cadillac "Coupe de Ville" was shown during the 1949 Motorama.Fast forward to the fourth generation Coupe de Ville, when in November 1971, a showroom-stock 1971 Coupe de Ville placed third in the annual coast-to-coast Cannonball Run, posting the highest average speed of the event, 84.6 mph and averaging 8.9 mpg! This car offered here is the arguably the most original unrestored Cadillac Coupe de Ville I’ve ever seen, having been stored indoors for the past 30 year! It has been driven a little over 80,000 miles and appears to have always been well cared for. The exterior is in remarkable condition with few chips or nics to be found in the glossy white finish that shows very well. With the exception of the front filler panel on the passenger side, all of the trim is present and in good condition (see all pics). Interior photos are reminiscent of a factory brochure with solid and well care for interior components and features that operate as they should including the power seat movements, electric antennae switch, power windows and even the factory radio still works! There is some wear on the passenger side door welting and the drivers arm rest as shown in the photos (again, see all pics). The A/C controls appear to operate as they should with fan speed and vent selection, however the air temp wasn’t very cold in the 100 degree temps here in Dallas and will need to be serviced by the new owner to restore operation if so desired. The wipers are also not working. Underside pics reveal a solid chassis with minor, superficial rust present on most components. While this iconic 1973 Cadillac Coupe de Ville runs and drives well, it should be completely serviced before any extended driving to ensure safety and reliability(due to our filming schedule we cannot perform any additional service or work on this car for you, SOLD AS IS/WHERE IS).
