1962 Cadillac DeVille

1962 Cadillac Deville Convertible. Exceptional original survivor condition. Garaged and well cared for its entire life in Southern California. Never any rust or accidents. Original leather interior, ne quality repaint in the Factory color by the Cadillac Dealer in the mid 1970's. Has most options... A/C, ower windows, ent windows, eat, ntenna, runk and signal seek radio. *Does not have Factory seat belts; they were not required in 1962. Have original sales invoice, andbooks, irst owner warranty card. Sold new to Mrs. Hill in Pasadena California, raded in for a new Lincoln sedan late 1962. Then bought by Mr Brown who kept it 46 years. I bought the car from him in 2008. He kept the car so long primarily for sentimental reasons; he first met his wife while doing the purchase transaction at the Dealer in 1962. It went from daily use to a "Sunday car" in the 1960's. INTERIOR: As mentioned it is all original and fine condition. Still soft leather seats show well with minor cracking as expected from any older leather. Beautiful dash including all the chrome details. All door panels etc in excellent condition. Very minor wear small area of drivers carpet from shoe heal.
BODY: Overall excellent. Paint shows very well with lots of depth and luster. Appears to have been resprayed with Lacquer when the Dealer repainted it in the 70's. New quality convertible top installed last summer. Chrome is original, ell above average and overall shows very well. However on close up inspection bumpers, utside mirror have some slight dulling, xpected in an original car of this age and overall nice enough to leave alone. Never any rust issues, nderside in fine condition. Factory trunk liners all intact and in excellent condition.
MECHANICAL: Runs and drives fantastic. Always serviced and well maintained. All in working order except A/C is not charged. I never performed this service, owever it is all present and heater works well. New front end bushings in 2014 and anything else it needed.SUMMARY: As mentioned this is a very hard to find original car in exceptional condition that is ready to enjoy. It has never needed to be restored; or a once abused example brought back to life. With this in mind there may be some minor blemishes indicating its age.
