1987 Buick Grand National

Clean, clear title in my name.
Please note, the first three pictures are as I bought the car in August of 2022. At that time the previous owner had just gone through the entire fuel system since the car had been sitting for a number of years. He replaced the fuel tank, head gaskets and ported the heads. He also installed bigger injectors, a turbo tweaks chip, an Alky kit and a high flow fuel pump w/hot wire kit. It ran and drove at that point but it was smoking indicating that it needed an engine rebuild.
I immediately sent the car to Bob Norwood for an engine build and some light bodywork to repair the front left corner and a dent on the passenger side. The plan was to just have a good driver without breaking the bank.
Here's a list of the engine parts that I purchased:
- RJC Head Gasket Kit- RJC Downpipe- RJC Power Plate- RJC Rear Engine Brace- RJC Boost Controller- ARP Head Bolts- HE Parts & Stuff Engine Mounts- Double Roller Timing chain- D.S.S Forged Pistons- Total Seal Rings
There's probably more that I'm forgetting but the engine was completed late 2022 and I drove the car around the block a few times and then parked it in my shop. I also have a factory airbox because I'm not a fan of the intake that's on it right now. I just haven't had the time or energy to work on it. I do start it about once a month.
The front left corner was fixed and blended, as well as the passenger side door area. This car will need a complete paint job to be nice. The floors, trunk and inner rockers are solid but it does have some rust at the rear of both outer rockers as well as behind the rear drivers side tire down low. I have already bought all the patch panels as well as new front end body panels that will go with the car, here's a list off the top of my head:
- L & R outer rocker panels- Lower drivers side quarter panel- New header panel (painted)- New headlight bezels- New headlight adjusters- New front grill- New side marker- New front and rear bumper fillers- Rebuilt factory boost gauge by Casper Electronics
I've invested over $19k in parts and labor but I have other projects that need my attention(and money!). This could be a good driver with a solid weekend of work. It will need a new battery, new tires and also a headliner cause the original is sagging. Put the front end back together and hit the road without breaking the bank!
Sorry for the minimal pictures, these are what I have on my phone. I'm happy to send more detailed pictures or FaceTime if you are a serious buyer. The car is parked at my shop about an hour away and I don't get out there often.
