Rare and desirable 1958 Limited, in great original form with refreshing. This car runs, drives, and stops beautifully and is ready to cruise. Rare factory AC survivor car in beautiful Green Mist that commands attention and gapers whenever I take it out.

This car was a barn find a decade ago and has had immense work done to it to make it reliable and roadworthy again. The new chrome alone is worth half the reserve.

Drivetrain

Rebuilt numbers-matching 364 V8 with Dynaflow transmission that performs wonderfully

All original AC components present

Besides an engine rebuild, other work performed in the past 3 years includes:

New tires

Recored correct original radiator

New stainless brake lines, wheel cylinders, and brake hoses

New exhaust with NOS resonators

Detailed as needed under the hood to present well

NO rot on inner fenders or battery tray as is typically found on these

Exterior

Mostly original paint with patina and touchups over the years. It has its warts, but it's only original once.

No rot on body. A few small patches were performed with sheetmetal in typical areas found while replacing trim and touched up. No rust in floors or trunk ever. No evidence of prior collision or excessive rust.

Almost all chrome has been redone, even the grille, and the few pieces that haven't are very nice original.

Rebuilt power antenna that looks and performs like new.

Front fender eyebrow trim (usually badly damaged and difficult and expensive to restore) has been restored to perfection.

Doors open and close perfectly with a solid click.

This car is beautiful as it is with its original paint and patina offset by gorgeous new chrome, but if you want show car paint at some point you already have a solid body and beautiful chrome, so it would be a straightforward job and there would be no gobs of prior body work and layers of paint to contend with. In the meantime, you can drive it and enjoy it now!

Interior

Interior is totally original in beautiful condition. No evidence of any prior rodent hoteling.

No tears or split seams in seats, and leather surround is outstanding.

Dash pad is crack-free, not sagging, and still pliable.

Vinyl on AC vent surround has some cracks, and correct vinyl to recover that and repair cracks in armrests is including with the car.

Headliner is excellent, with some staining at one bow.

Carpet is intact and not torn up or worn out.

Dash chrome is beautiful.

All guages work!

Power seat works!

Power windows work perfectly!

Interior lights work!

Clock even works!

Wonderbar Radio was rebuilt and worked perfectly, but recently stopped playing - still powers up and hums so just a tube replacement should get it playing again.

I have never tried the wipers as I don't drive it in the rain.

I imagine the AC might work as it's intact and compressor is free, but would probably need some leaks repaired along with standard service to function.

Still has rare original Dinsmore compass! It doesn't work, but could be restored.

Trunk is fully intact with original jack and materials.
