1966 Buick Skylark Convertible

1966 Buick Skylark Convertible restoration project car barn find (Seattle area)One of my dad's friends came to ask for help to find a new home and owner for this lovely car that has been sitting untouched beside his house, covered for many years. It was last on the road in the year 2000 and was a joy to drive.
Some things were taken off but are inside the car, it is around 95% complete and mostly original. The engine looks to be a 340 or 350 V8 with 4 barrel carburetor, automatic transmission, the air cleaner doesn't fit properly. With a little patience to clean the gas tank out and put fresh gas in it this car will run and drive. The fuse box under the dash needs a little attention. The body is in decent shape, the left rear quarter panel has some damage and the front right fender has a dent that can be pushed out from the inside. There is a little rust in some spots but not bad at all for being a convertible. It has great floors that were coated to protect from rust, the trunk and interior floors look very solid. The top has rips and would need to be replaced. The top is manual, a hydraulic pump, cylinders and hoses would be needed to make it an automatic top, or just leave it as it is and only have the canvas replaced. The chrome front and rear bumpers need re-plating. The rear bumper is in rough shape but looks to be a decent core. The hood ornament is missing, the hood trim is in place.Years ago I restored 2 Buicks in this condition, stayed focused on completing them and within weeks both were on the road and taken to car shows to display. This car is a great candidate for a restoration and we have it priced to sell!Clear title. This will need to be towed away unless the buyer wants to try to get it running, it is possible.

We would like this paid for and picked up as soon as possible.
Pick up in South Seattle, WA, zip code 98146 in the "White Center" area.
